February One
Based on first hand accounts and archival footage, the award-winning film, February One - The Story of the Greensboro Four, documents the events leading up to the fateful day of February 1, 1960, when four black freshmen from N.C. A&T State University sat down at the whiteÂ’s-only lunch counter in downtown Greensboro. Their actions not only challenged the customs and laws in North Carolina and the South, but served as a blueprint for the wave of non-violent civil rights protests that swept across the South and eventually the nation.
