After Midnight (2019)
Needs more horror
This wasn't a bad movie. The actors and the storytelling are good. But I feel like horror was just a "side dish" to the main story.
Psycho Goreman (2020)
Irritating and badly written
Worst child actors I've ever seen plus a very lame script.
De dødes tjern (2019)
Bland, bleak, boring
Slow and trying too hard to be artistic. Characters are bland. A painful watch.
Near Dark (1987)
Painful and illogical
Utter lack of chemistry between the male and female lead and really unbelievable relationship, made even worse by bad acting. Their scenes were painful and tedious. The vampires are not cool at all and seem to have a mediocre way of staying alive, which is strange since they've been at it for awhile. There wasn't much to their back stories. Many aspects about them were illogical as well.
Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)
Ridiculous
Makes some really wild leaps in logic, including the main character being inexplicably popular with the ladies. Really campy and not even in a good way.
Laid to Rest (2009)
Watch if you like getting frustrated
The concept isn't bad but the plot is immensely frustrating, with the characters having no situational awareness or survival instinct at all. The main character is especially annoying.
Bao gao lao shi! Guai guai guai guai wu (2017)
Dark and disturbing
Very disturbing and hard to watch at times, but has a pretty interesting and unique plot.
The Ranger (2018)
Has character
I disagree with the other reviews about this being a humdrum slasher. It had many elements that made it an entertaining and different watch for me. Definitely not a cinematic masterpiece, but I believe it stands out from films in the similar genre that have a similar budget.
Errementari (2017)
Imaginative and fun
Rich story with great characters and a good sense of humor.
Amityville II: The Possession (1982)
Horrible acting, draggy ending
The acting here is just horrible, like they were all in a school play or something. Loose plot that was not very compelling, and very draggy ending. The soundtrack was great though.
The Conspiracy (2012)
Different and well made
This stands out from the pool of found footage movies because it is pretty well made in terms of production quality, has an interesting plot, and is just unique in its premise. Not a bad watch for sure.
Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)
Epitome of cheesiness
Horribly over-acted, ridiculously cheesy events, just a wild ride of campiness through and through.
Patient Seven (2016)
Fairly entertaining watch!
Pretty well produced and entertaining stories. Two of the stories had a similar theme and I thought that was unnecessary, but otherwise it was an interesting anthology movie.
Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)
Unlikeable Sonic
Sonic was just written as really annoying and unlikeable, and also a bad example for children. Many plot holes as well.
Time Trap (2017)
Campy and stupid characters
Great concept, which is why I watched it, but it was quite cheesy in its execution, and the characters are really stupid, as in intellectually stupid, so it was a painful and frustrating watch.
Rootwood (2018)
Utterly bad
Everything about this movie is bad. The writing is bad, the acting is bad, and the plot is bad.
The Banana Splits Movie (2019)
Awfully written
This could have been good. I thought it was an amusing concept and it developed okay. However, it quickly went from a 5 to a 2 right around the middle of the movie. There is no semblance of logic in the creatures' behavior and the victims' reactions.
Itsy Bitsy (2019)
Had promise but nothing else
I thought the concept and the first half of the movie as the plot developed was okay. It was still pretty interesting. However, the effects are really bad, so the spider looks like a halloween decoration. The acting is bad and none of the characters are likeable.
February (2015)
Tedious pace and flow
Tries hard to be artistic, which makes for a painful watch. Slow, confusing, and underwhelming. Really regretted watching this.
Primal Rage (2018)
Falls short
There was some creativity in this film, which would have carried it, but the bad writing and campy-ness was just overwhelming. It became really frustrating to sit through.
Stag Night (2008)
Missed the mark
The concept sounded promising, but this film was not done well. The villains were really one dimensional, and the events were frustrating.
Webcast (2018)
Uneventful and boring
Really slow pace, with a plot that just wanders around. Really hard to keep engaged or feel involved in it at all.
The Axiom (2018)
Great potential but lots of misses
Cool concept, but the acting, writing, and creatures were quite lacklustre.
Ghosting (2016)
Interesting, novel plot
Interesting and creative story but not very good acting and production. Some really weird soundtrack choices and unnecessary events.
Paranormal Investigation (2018)
Boring and unoriginal
Really slow, with a scant plot that has been done many times before. Brings nothing new to the table.
