Aftermath (2024)
Absolute trash, nothing is coherent and just cobbled together scenes.
The rating of this movie is what happens when you have a fandom, this movie is a 2 and nothing more.
I watched because of Sprouse and my god this makes sharknado look great.
This is worse than those b movies by asylum.
There is no reason for this movie to get anything over 2 stars.
The Story: yeah no.
Acting: seems like some people were in a hurry. The young girl is an adult which made a horrendous opening scene a bit more digestible. Still who ever put that scene in needs to be looked into.
VFX: pretty damn decent for what this movie is.
Sound design: really good for the most part.
Cinematography: excellent in many cases
I want to forget that I watched this movie and never talk or think about it.
Joe Rogan: Burn the Boats (2024)
Mediocre comedian does a bad show.
The 1 stars are just haters, the 10 stars are fans.
No one in their right mind would think that this is a 10 or a 1.
He has never been a great comedians, yes, he talks like he is and has on legends on his podcast.
He used be a great podcaster and used to bring on awesome people but now used the podcast to confirm his bias.
The above is relevant because he crafted the above using his bias and was disconnected from the real audiences. His show probably does well because it is filled with fans.
Fans are a bad barometer to learn if your stuff is good.
He tells good comedians that don't have a following to release their specials on YT while being the one that should have done that.
For me the special was less than mediocre his other specials are mediocre when compared to the greats.
I hope he learns from this mistake and actually writes good stuff, feel like he has too much on his plate with injecting everything to stay desperately young to commentary to taking care of comedians to operating a comedy club to many other things we don't know about.
This is just a bad showing from a mediocre comedian.
The Suicide Squad (2021)
Nothing special but hit the mark with a specific audience and they are giving it an 8+ as they did enjoy the movie.
For me the movie was mediocre at best and I probably will not remember this movie after a few days.
Like I said while watching the movie I could clearly see a specific section of people were really enjoying the movie which is why I gave it a 5 instead of a 2.
I am unable to see what others were enjoying because I didn't see anything special and on top of that all I saw was lazy writing and really good actors being made to say dull dialogues.
It would have been awesome if Cena was made into a mute, he cannot deliver dialogues no matte what sort of dialogues they are, it's best to take dialogues away from him and give them to more talented people like the Polka dot guy.
Sadly for me it's a borderline bad movie, The Tomorrow War another similar non sense movie was actually better than this one. Can't believe I just wrote that.
I'm glad others are enjoying it but I absolutely did not enjoy the movie.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
This is the kind of movie I play in the background to fall asleep or study. Easy to ignore as it doens't have anything going for it.
This movie is something akin to Transformers only Transformers is actually fun if you turn your brain off.
The story progressions is just ridiculous, the moments that are supposed to be epic seem like they were shoved in. There is a running scene in the movie which belong in a student movie not in a movie made with millions of dollars with actors that are paid millions.
I am not even comparing this movie to the god level movie if succeeds, I didn't even want to mention that movie because this movie is an insult.
This reminds me of 30 Days of Darkness and its sequel. The first movie was good and the sequel made was a trashy action flick.
The movie was so bad that it opened my eyes to Gal Gadot, she is the same tier actor as Tara Reid, Pamela Anderson but somehow became a A lister.
Literally everyone around her was amazing which made it even more clear how much she still has to learn.
Acting aside if this movie wasn't made by big named people it would be put in the same category as Sharknado but remember this movie was made with probably quadruple the budget.
The After (2014)
Dissapointed Amazon did not pick this one up
I watched the pilot when it came out years ago and thought It would get picked up and I would binge it after years. Today I got a reminder set back when I watched the pilot to binge watch this series and to my dismay the series was never picked up.
Honestly I would be happy to watch the pilot but apparently it isn't available to watch in my country anymore.
The story was intriguing to say the least, the cast was pretty good and the pace was really good.
If you are into SciFi and have access to this shows pilot, I would say it is a must watch.
Day of the Dead: Bloodline (2017)
Compared to this Day of the dead (2008) was gold.
I cannot believe that this would cost 8 m USD.
Here is a list for you to read:
1. there are dubbed scenes in the movie for some reason,
2. the voice over for narrated parts is half a$$ed,
3. there are some decent actors and i think that is where the 8m went because it definitely did not go into writing a good script or screen play,
4. seems like they had a concept in mind but weren't able to make it real,
5. couldn't wait for the movie to end it was somewhat unbearable,
6. i have literally forgotten almost everything that happened in the movie that is why i did not mention any scenes.
If you are a zombie fan feel free to watch this movie but do not expect it to be any good. I do not blame you for watching this as there is a severe shortage of zombie movies atm.
Zoo (2015)
The show is like the sharknado of TV shows in my TV shows list
Words can hardly express what this show is and i actually urge everyone to watch this strange show. When i saw the pilot i did not know about the books and was amused by the whole animals going rogue. The show has the weirdest lines of dialogue it is as if they are trying to be a comedy show but don't wanna fully commit. The CG maybe bad for a lot for people but for me it is watchable and somewhat fun. I have watched all the season and am currently watching the newest season 3 and i am sure i will keep watching this show till the end because as the title said for me it is so bad that i wanna watch it. This show actually makes me appreciate shows like Game of thrones a lot more and hence this show is like the necessary evil on my watch list and stops me from turning too complacent. The killing of the french beauty was a big blow to me because her accent made the dialogues fun but whatever they sort of replaced her with a yet another non sense underdeveloped character. Season 2 was crazy and hopeless but with season 3 they did something fun i.e. sped up the time line we are now in the apocalypse phase. A few thing are very bothersome here, the safari guide became a very well versed doctor/research scientist in a matter of a decade, how? I highly doubt he studied science in school and did all that was needed in a matter of decades to become a doctor and then manage to be a researcher as well. Rest of the cast remain the same more or less with Jamie wearing a lot more tight latex pants sadly she doesn't have anything to show so latex is wasted on her. Then we have the plastic surgery puffy lips girl who is pregnant and blah blah blah.. That puffy lip thing is catching on and is dangerous. So far season 3 has been sort of fun with all the scenes of Jamie in latex and other stuff :P My final words: watch the show without expecting good acting or good dialogue or anything basically but watch it and laugh at all that was mentioned. They are not trying to be funny but they are hilarious.
