Not slick but startling visualizations add to the excellent storyline resulting in a holistic view of the human past. Well done. And it's own way unforgettable. In ways even pioneering.
Coco (2017)
I must be one of the few...
... that doesn't really like this movie. I find the grandmother to be annoying and Coco to be cloying.
And the visual joke goes on and on yet grows no less macabre.
May the Santos forgive me.
Lincoln (2012)
Interesting fact
Just watching Doris Kearns Goodwin on C-SPAN. She just said, in response to a fan's question, that yes a movie would be made of her book "team of rivals" and she was excited that Liam Nielsen was to play Lincoln.

They was robbed
It's not terribly rare that a movie does not get reviews that give it to credit it deserves. This movie was entertaining, mysterious, well written, and really well acted.This is not a throwaway role for George Clooney. He plays a very interesting part here that he has not tried anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and see this movie!

And impossible screenplay to write. The choice not to make him instantly fix people results in so much pain that it's difficult to watch. But if done the other way it's treacly and where does it go? The result is really what you'd expect,Sorry man, sorry indeed.

Drives me Crazy
How can people not love this movie as I love it. Watch it when you have the chance. Cher is wonderful. Bob Hoskins is wonderful. Winona Ryder is great. It's all cute cute cute.

A very odd duck
A very strange blend of stage and film; impossible for me to achieve a willing suspension of disbelief. Not everybody's cup of tea. Not mine. It gets rated as high as seven only because of its ambition.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017)
Very worthwhile sci fi.
Excellent sci-fi entertainment. The acting is not horrible no matter what some say, it just isn't great. Perfectly serviceable to carry a very interesting plot and a wonderfully imaginative world is created. Treat yourself! You will enjoy it.
Two Bits (1995)
Wonderful Film
Great movies don't have to include "action." This sweet little movie presents us with the role in which Al Pacino is so sweet and so effective and so different from anything he ever did before or since.
If you ever get the chance, be sure to see it.
Hurricane (2018)
Much better than a 5.4 rating
And someone rating this movie has commented that it is anti-British and shows the British in a bad light. I completely disagree. This movie does a fair job of showing what it's like when east Europeans, in this case Poles, are mixed with British blue-collar fighters. Sometimes it Just ain't pretty.
