Jack Movez (2003)
pretty good for a zero budget film
If you've ever wanted to be part of a heist, and you've ever wanted to make your own movie, then this one is worth seeing. It's a film centered around a robbery made with a budget so small that you begin to think that you could have actually made a cool movie like this. It's a bit slow, compared to big budget crime action dramas, but for what it is, it's a quality product. Although made with a tiny budget, the plot is well thought out, perhaps more so than many big budget films. I did not watch too closely, but I do not remember any glaring plot holes. It's clear that this film team put their maximum into the film. The outtakes on the DVD version are also good as they provide some insight into the effort care and patience it takes to assemble a motion picture. It's basically a action film about two street criminals who embark on a robbery beyond their normal scope. There is some crude humor, violence, language, and even a fun shoot out, with lots of interesting characters introduced along the way. The dialog is simple, and works well but not particularly memorable.
