Bank on us (2020)
Awful to the core!
THE WORST FILM THAT COULD EVER BE PUT UP ON AMAZON PRIME. They have the mordacity of charging money to make us watch this dribble! Waste of complete money. It's only 10 minutes long so it aint even worthy of a youtube flick. Mediorce acting and poor camera work by the team. Swaylee and Lee are boring in this and do not provide anything to the story. There is no story. It's very exhausting cause I spent more time writing this review than these guys have into this film, or effort! Audio is diabolical as you can hardly hear what theyre saying anyway so it's all just soioooooooooo pointless! Run away.
Ouija Experiment (2022)
Just another dull found footage Ouija film
This is the Poundland version of Paranormal Activity, and when I say Poundland I genuinely mean that this must have cost a quid to make this "film." Ouija Experiment goes not go how you think it goes. Nothing Ouija or scary in the slightest happens. Please don't think anything actually happens out of the infamous board. It's 4-5 stories about different people that makes video blogs about mundane things. No back story or character arcs. Nothing happens and there's no consequences for who we follow. Hardly any blood or gore in this and there's more male nudity in this which is depressing. A soft cheap anthology.
Strix (2021)
One in a million!
Stoneberry hasn't made a bad film yet but that these films could be so much better screams that more budget is needed in the right places, namely sound and editing and perhaps a few more days of production time. I mention production time because 80% of their films are stylized where the cinematography thrives, but 20% always seems rushed where cinematography wasn't given enough space.
Each of their films are plagued with bad acting sporadically. Two of their standouts are Paula Marcenaro Solinger and Billy Blair who are in each of the three films. They both act their asses off for Stoneberry. Abel and Jennifer themselves are solid performers as well and appear in their own work. Beyond them almost all of the rest of their casts are amateurs and that's where s great deal of their films fall apart. Supporting actors, very poor sound mixing, and edits that desperately need to be strictly tightened to make many of the line exchanges feel natural and work, would benefit Stoneberry highly. Some of the comedy in their films would be much funnier if the edit was cut for comedic timing.
I'm a fan of Stoneberry and know what to expect when I watch their work but I desperately want to see a film they make not plagued with these issues. Ultra low budget can work without having these issues.
Sawyer (2018)
Not a bad fan film
It's a good fan film. You can tell there's hardly any budget but it serves it justice. Could've been hand held photography to make it look documented - perhaps another cameraman there? Anyway Leatherface was badass with the tattooed arms!
Ghosts: A Mockumentary (2019)
Predictable comedy
The comedy was really off and sluggish at times that came across as really distracting. This was mediocre writing and the cast seem like they are from some sort of amateur school production.
