Happy Feet (2006)
Very disappointing
A movie that has been praised on, given standing ovations and very popular at the box office made me say "Can't Wait till this one comes out, Im very excited" and when my best friend invited me to see it today, I thought it would be a great thing to do. The first ten minutes were fun and interesting, and learned lots about what the movie was to be about and heard some recognizable voices. But after an hour, I was expecting the movie to end, but it kept going... and going . . . and going. .. . And all of a sudden, IT ENDED!!! Leaving the audience confused. Coming from a small town, when an exceptional movie comes out, the audience claps and will sometimes give it a standing ovation, and this was one i thought would get one, Until the last hour of the movie, when i felt like i was falling asleep on the shoulder of a stranger next to me. When it ended, many stayed to see if there was some after of the movie after the credits had rolled, but nothing!!! This movie was very disappointing and you should only go to see this movie if you love the sounds of Brittany Murpheys voice which was only how this movie got its three stars. :(
Girlstuff/Boystuff (2002)
Best Cartoon
Okay, If u decide to not watch this show because of the other review, u shouldn't. i first saw an ad for this show, looked at the graphics and thought.....Blah. They're really crud. But, i think the story lines are really meaningful, and have truthful about the issues of teenage hood. this show may no be enjoyed by some, who are into the whole 3D graphics and stuff, but still i love it It follows the life of six teenagers, Talia, Reanne, Hanna, Jason, Simon and Ben. Thats pretty much all i can tell you about it, seeing that every episodes different from being set up on blind dates to finding out how old is too old is to go trick or treating. This show is the best besides it's lack of graphics. i give it an 8/10
Minty (1998)
great for kids and teens
*MY OPINION* i started watching this show when i was 10 and thought it was really funny and clever. Angela Kelly is so funny and she's a brilliant Australian actress. i loved the way they used her to play both minty and Melanie to use the different accents to separate the two.
*ABOUT THE SHOW* A school girl from England named Melanie wins a trip with her father to Australia. While in Australia she find out that she has what looks like a twin. Not a while later she finds out that she's a famous soup actress named Minty.
Minty's manager has been trying to start Minty on a singing career the only problem is Minty cant sing.....Melanie can. this starts them off on a big adventure swapping places. its such a good show. My ranking is 9/10.
The Challenge (2003)
Another Olsen Classic :)
I am only a teenager and have loved the Olsen twins' movies my whole life, so when i saw this movie at the video store knew it would be good and i was right
ABOUT THE MOVIE Shane (Mary-Kate Olsen) and Lizzie (Ashley Olsen) Are two twins that both try to get on a show called "The Challenge" without knowing the other one had. Shane and Lizzie's parents divorced when they were twelve so when their mum decided to move from Washington to Las Angelas Shane decided to go with her, because her and Lizzie were complete opposites. Shane's a vegetarian and is all like a hippy and Lizzie is a city girl who loves a juicy Steak. When they both get chosen to go on the show because one of the interns think it would be good for ratings they start their disagreements and start losing all the challenges because of their disagreements.
I think this movie is one of the Olsen's best!!!
Molly (1999)
Go Molly,Go Molly,Go Molly
This movie is definitely one of the best movies i've ever seen. Elizabeth Shue was casted perfectly and i can't imagine any one else playing the lead. Another character casted brilliantly was Aaron Eckhart who played Molly's older brother.
Molly McKay(Shue) is autistic. She is a 28 year old woman with the mind of a three year old. When the center she is in closes down because its gone broke, she is then put in the care of her older brother Buck(Eckhart).
She is then chosen to get an operation by some doctors who think that molly's case is fascinating.
Some other familiar faces include Thomas Jane(who plays one of molly's good friend Sam) Jill Hennessy (who plays molly's doctor and brothers girlfriend Susan) and Lucy Lui(who plays Bucks secretary and one of molly's baby sitters) I gave this movie ten out of ten because if mad me laugh, cry, and was romantic. many movies lack those qualities so i advise that you definitely watch this.
The Interpreter (2005)
Another classic by Nicole Kidman
Sylvia Broom (Nicole Kidman) an interpreter at the UN overhears someone giving a threat for the assassination to an African dictator .Her only problem is the person who i trying to protect her, Tobin Kellar (Sean Penn) believes that she made the whole story up and that she was trying to get attention.
This Drama,Action and thriller is different to many other of Nicole's precious movies but will be remembered for ever. Nicole's struggle with the South African/American accent lost her the 10 stars but was very enjoyable. It would be very difficult for many young teens to understand this, but for those who do you'll love this film.Make sure you go to the toilet before watching this movie. It goes for two and a half hours and to understand it, you must be thinking the whole way through.
Panic Room (2002)
great movie by Jodie Foster
This was a great movie and i will definitely watch it again.Jodie foster was casted really well. I don't know who else could play her. I was really shocked that Nicole Kidman played Stephans girlfriend on the phone. This movie was so cool. I wish that we had a panic room at our house. they seem so fun and are a great idea for people who live in a city where they have a lot of burglaries. Having a panic room was such a good idea for a movie. It was cool how the panic room was so dark but i hated it when the lights kept flickering it really hurt my eyes.In conclusion this movie rocks and i will watch it next time its on TV even though i own the DVD!
