So I had involved myself with a talented director named Afzal Hossain Munna. I was his assistant director for about 4 years. I have also made 2/3 short film and 7/8 movie preview/review TV show (Daily Shop). As a result of being in the office all day, I learned the A, B, C, D of video editing on my own. With that knowledge, I have edited music videos and a few plays. Although they were all commercial projects.
Suddenly I left those tracks and entered the world of writing. I joined Feature Writer in Roar Bangla; which is the largest content platform in South Asia. I started writing on some more local and foreign websites. In the meantime, I have translated stories and novels from world literature. The main reason I write is - I have no fun or pleasure without these. However, the record of achievement in this sector is absolutely zero. I feel comfortable reading books and studying art. But most of all I like to spend lazy time.

Por Thozhil (2023)
"Engaging Tamil Thriller 'Por Thozil' Delivers Nearly Perfect Crime Suspense"
"Por Thozil," which translates to "The Art of War" in English, is not to be confused with Sun Tzu's famous work.
This Tamil thriller follows newly appointed police DSP Prakash and officer SP Loganathan as they investigate a series of murders. The victims are killed in a similar manner, leading the investigators to suspect a serial killer. As the story unfolds, the mystery behind the killer's identity and motivations is revealed, creating a tense and gripping narrative.
The film's script and execution demonstrate careful craftsmanship, effectively building suspense from start to finish. While there are a few minor issues, they are easily overshadowed by the overall quality of the storytelling.
Acting performances are noteworthy, particularly Sharatkumar's portrayal of Loganathan. His strong and confident presence contributes significantly to the character's development. Selven and other cast members deliver solid performances, with special praise for Sharat Babu and Sunil Sukhada, who stand out with their exceptional acting.
The narrative maintains a consistently thrilling pace, supported by outstanding production values. The background score and cinematography enhance the film's atmosphere, adding to the tension and suspense.
The director skillfully creates a sense of unease without directly revealing the serial killer, intensifying the movie's chilling ambiance. Although the film lacks some traditional emotional scenes, it remains an engaging and enjoyable crime thriller, nearly reaching perfection.
In conclusion, "Por Thozil" offers a satisfying and compelling viewing experience, showcasing its strengths as a well-crafted crime thriller. Enjoy watching this captivating movie.

We Are Lady Parts (2021)
This series is an absolute beauty.
This series is an absolute beauty. A fun ride roller coaster with lots of humor, sarcasm, feminism, Islamic prohibition, and obviously friendship and family.
Just imagine 4 Muslim girls wearing hijabs and bourkha were played a rock song in a punk band, how it seems? Yeah, that's kind of interesting this series is. Moreover, this is a sitcom. I mean there's lots of comedy, or should I say situational comedy! And sarcasm and funs.
And all the characters are refreshingly unexpected, complex, funny, self-portrait and endearing. Girl's power, witticism, and obviously punk rock. The story and screenplay were good enough to engage the viewers until the end. And interesting, funny too.
The lyrics were too good. Acting skills, anyone could have stunned with their acting skill. The cinematography and the directing were good. The main fact is, I'm in love with this series. Thank you Nida Manzoor and her teams.
Spirit Untamed (2021)
Not so good.
DreamWorks Animation Studio. But still, unnecessary, somewhat disappointing, not promising but watchable if you want to. Because the original one is much better than this. But, maybe kids would enjoyed it very much.
Karnan (2021)
Absolutely Brilliant!!
National Film Award winning actor Dhanush has a special reputation for immersing himself in acting. The same thing in Karnan movie. It is as if no one liked the character of Karna except Dhanush. The warmth of youth and the sense of rebellion were enough to make him bow down. In fact, not only Dhanush but the whole village has done a great job in this movie.
The story of this movie based on true events is divided into two parts. In the first part, the director highlights the problems of the village. Even the culture and tradition of the village has come to the fore. Everyone in the village of Pudiyankulam worships the helmet deity. And they believe in all strange practices. For example, one should not mourn or weep over one's death, but should dance and rejoice. Songs and dances try to forget sorrow.
And the second episode tells the story of the protest. The story of saving the dignity of the village. How the whole village became the enemy of the administration - all the stories are shown. So, the second episode was very exciting and thrilling. The beginning seemed a bit slow compared to that. The producers took a little longer to spread the net of the story. But can't be bothered.
Since this is the story of a very remote area. As well as the story of people believing in a slightly different ritual, so there were many scenes that are not commonly seen. The fighting scenes were provocative on the one hand and frightening on the other. The sound in the follicles has been so good that not the ears; Rather it comes to the heart. The background scoring was also quite good.
But I like cinematography the most. Especially symbolic shots. It's very impressive. There are some exaggerated ideas in the story but by omitting them one can be immediately immersed in the story of the film. In a word, the violence and panic shown by the producer without using blood in the fight scene is remarkable. I like it a lot.
Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi (2019)
Beautiful Cinema.
Quite a good movie. A very domestic story. A depiction of the feelings of all the people in the family at the death of the head of the extended family. Very simple and subtle story. Didn't feel bad to see. Liked it a lot. Visitors will be able to relate to each moment. The director has shown quite good Munsiana. Loved it. The acting and making was also quite good. Must see.
The Marksman (2021)
Slow pace drama.
Wasn't worth as much as expected. Watch it only for Liam Neeson. The story was as usual. Nothing special. And the screenplay was also slow-paced. They called it an action film. But find out that there were only 2/3 action scenes. Otherwise it just a road trip drama.
The Dissident (2020)
Beautiful and Bold.
This is a docu-film about the murder of Washington post's journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Truly brilliant. I'm surprised to watch that a docu can be this kind of boldness. Great respect to all who are engaged with this film. Must watch.
Mortal Kombat (2021)
Good but not very good.
It was a good start. Even the story goes well until the first half of the movie. But after that everything seems a bit awkward. I mean the story wasn't as good as the first half. They could do a lot more screenplay if they wanted to, which I thought.
But the movie was at least worth watching. Not so bad. The action was pretty good was the VFX scenes the creative team did well too. But it can be longer than the action scene. I enjoyed it with everything. But it looks like it could be better.
The Great Indian Kitchen (2021)
Interesting, intriguing, simple but raw, beautiful.
Simple story. But it had a huge depth. The story begins with the marriage of a couple. The bride comes to the in-law's house. She tries to convince herself to adjust to this family. But, it seems very tough for her because of this family manners.
In this house, you have to do all household work with your own hands. You can't grind any spices in machines. You can't wash clothes in machines. You can't boil rice in a ricecooker. Everything will have to be done by hand. Otherwise, you'll get punished. After all day's work, you have to please your husband in bed. In the end, what they gained from us? Nothing but abuse and mental torture.
So, this is the main story. Great work. Nice presenting and storytelling. Seems like a perfect movie. Well done Malayalam movie industry.
Nobody (2021)
Better not call Saul, because he is John Wick's uncle.
Seriously, Saul became the John Wick's uncle in this movie. Love the movie. Action and cinematography was better. I enjoyed every moment.
Tales from the Loop (2020)
Tales from The Loop: Sci-fi series from Artbook Paintings
Imagine for a second, what if you saw a robot walking in the street of your city? What if you discovered yourself in someone else's being? What if time stopped because you wanted to? And what if you see and hear your reflections and echoes of your old age in your childhood? What if you find a fountain that can increase or decrease your age?
Seems weird, isn't it? Amazon Prime's sci-fi series Tales from the Loop reveals such an impossible reality. Interestingly, this series is based on an artbook. The idea or concept of this series came from a bunch of paintings. Swedish artist Simon Stelenhag create some dystopian painting with the memory of his own childhood. Those paintings go viral on the Internet. And become the artbook with the best seller tag. Nathaniel Halpern got the series idea from that artbook.
Mercer, a small town in the US state in Ohio. There is nothing to talk about this county. Moreover, the abundance of forests allows a small population around the town. However, there is a scientific laboratory in the city named Loop. So in the city forests, a robot can be seen walking; or a round iron object lying in the middle of the forest. Or the giant Watch Tower can be seen at the far end of the town.
City dwellers, even children, were accustomed to seeing this common thing in their daily life. So, the Loop and everything related to Loop is a part of the daily life of the resident here. The 'Tales from the Loop' series is based on eight different stories centered around the scientific laboratory loop.
Although the stories may seem very different, the connection between one story and another is slowly emerging in the series. Hollywood Reporters and other critics already been described this series as poetic. Of course, there are reasons for that. At first, each of these anthology types stories is a unique one, but there is a connection between one story and another. As seen in the verses of the poem.
The Background Music of this series has helped to strengthen this poetic genre. The Background Scoring of each story brings out the fullness of each story. So this anthology series, which has run by the beat of melody, has reached its fullness in a poetic style. Story to the screenplay, Cinematography to acting, everything was perfect in this series. Especially, if you watched the acting of those child artists your jaw will droop.
Though it's a pure sci-fi series, still there were much reality and sense of life has seen. The stories bring out the unluckiness of science along with the luckiness of science. Especially, how a town or a man became to the core of this unluckiness. The director has tried to give a small example or message of how terrible it can be to use science by disregarding the laws of nature.
Tales from the Loop is a dystopian sci-fi story; in which a city is enlightened by the blessing of science; in which the same city is cursed by the mislead of science; in which a family sacrifices their everything for science; and in the same story, the same family lost their everything, even there lives only for science.
His House (2020)
What a beautifull horror film!
The movie tries to turn the imaginary fear into a visual horror. The director tells the story of the dark side of the human mind using the horrors of war. Although it is in the 'Haunted House' genre, but it has many exceptions and unique features.
In this movie, the pain of losing or the painful memory is captured in the form of a ghost. Even those ghosts have their own pain. These ghosts are not gaseous; Ghosts made of flesh and blood.
The movie has an extreme reflection of the coping mechanism. I like Unmi's performance. Although a haunted house, a new visualization was found through this movie. The cinematography is great. Some of the scenes are eye-catching. In a word, a strangely beautiful horror movie. Horror and Dark lovers are a must-see.
Paava Kadhaigal (2020)
Creepy but Beatiful.
Pavaa Kadhaigal means in English is Sinful Tales. And honestly speaking, these 4 stories were truly filled with Sin. The directors showed the new way of these old concepts. What a pleasant presentation, what a nice horror. Must watch anthology film.
Joji (2021)
Dark and Creepy but not perfect.
The plot wasn't as satisfying for me as I expected. But well done. The cinematography and making were awesome. Visualizations make me enchanted with Kerala's natural beauty. The acting was also better. But, the story didn't seem like too much thrill or intense. But, it feels slow pace sometimes. Whatever, well film. At least worth watching.
Irul (2021)
Starting was great but finishing wasn't!
The Story was promising. Though it's a predictable story. Still, it had lots of intensity and thrill. The cinematography and Background scoring was awesome. Eventually, acting was also good.
But in the end, it doesn't matter. I mean they just spoiled everything. Nothing to worthy-watching. If you have free time then watch it. Otherwise, you don't have to.
Daman akeseo guhasoseo (2020)
Action & acting was good enogh!
Yeah, only action & acting was good enough. The story as usual. Nothing special. However, the exaggerated idea wasn't cool enough. It's disturbing. But you can watch it as an Action Thriller.
Paranormal (2020)
Fascinated and wonderful an Egyptian series
Based on Egyptian author Ahmed Khaled Tawfiq's Ma Wara Al Tabiaa, which translated to Beyond Nature or Metaphysics. He was the pioneer of the horror and science fiction genre in Arabic Literature. Total 81 novels have been published in this Metaphysics series. From this series, 5 stories have been adopted to make this series.
This the story of hematology professor Dr. Refaat Ismail. He is a kind of weird guy. Though he is not too old, his body language and outlook seem like an old man. Refaat is a rationalist man. He doesn't believe in any Paranormal activities. But, those Paranormal activities have always been haunted him, since his childhood.
The story was promising. An interesting story. The screenplay and Cinematography were also good. And so is the Background Scoring. They are tried their best to get a better result. And I think they nailed it.
But, the second and the third episode of this series, those are very much irritating and disturbing. Seems like, for the sake of the stories' born place, they just told a story about Egyptian Pharaohs. Both of these episode's VFX also too low class. Disappointing.
But they just nailed it again with the actor and actress. Role-playing was quite good by every artist. A must watch worthy series.
Jungle Mystery: Lost Kingdoms of the Amazon (2020)
Interesting but not fulfill!
Obviously, you should have watched this if you are a history lover. The information was promising and also interesting, but the presentation wasn't good enough. There was a lot of lacking professionalism. And the host Ella-Al-Samahi, I don't know why she acted like this.
There was another docu-series named The Lost Cities of Amazons. That was also good to watch. And well organized than this. But, Information is too much in this Ella's series. This or That, but watch the docu-series if you are a history lover.
Silence... Can You Hear It? (2021)
Could have been something better!
As a murder mystery, the plot was interesting. But the story was as-usual. Though too many plotholes in the story, still enjoyable. But only Manjo Bajpayee was perfect at his own character. Everyone else just doing some awkward acting. Especially for Prachi Desai, what have she done without posing. I have seen this only for Manoj.
Lost Treasures of Egypt (2019)
Outstanding! Mind-blowing! Amazing! Superb! Wonderful Docu-Series.
Egypt has the richest archeological treasures on planet earth. There are lots of treasures beneath under this golden sand of the desert. Just excavate and you'll find Tombs, Temples, and maybe lost cities that were lost a long time ago.
National Geography's camera got unprecedented access to cover from the front line with the world's best archeologists in this excavating season. And this footage made this beautiful and enchanting docu-series named The Lost Treasures of Egypt.
Though it's a documentary, the story goes just like a thriller movie. So definitely, this documentary is watch-worthy and enjoyable. As a history lover, I enjoyed it much. The scripting, making, and 3D visuals are very well made. Seems like, for a fraction of time, I had been traveled from the ancient world. NatGeo has done brilliant work. Really appreciatable.
11.22.63 (2016)
Interesting and enjoyable one-season series!
The plot was interesting. Lots of thrill in that story. And the part is, this story is brought you by none other than the Horror king Stephen King himself. I was shocked that, King can write this kind of Sci-fi. Really astonishing.
I loved James Franco. Such a brilliant actor. And also liked very much Sarah Goden. Her smile and attitude, just heart-touching. Thanks, both of them. Series making was good. Highly recommended series.
Joker (2019)
Outstanding!!
I used to think that life was a tragedy. But now I realize...it's a comedy. This movie will work as medicine for me in the days of Despair. Everything seems boring. It's like dying in hell. Needs enlightenment to cheer up.
Chimipja (2020)
Not so good but okay!
The story was quite interesting. There is also a good thrill in the story. However, there seems to be inconsistency in the plot of the story. Type everything as you see fit. The twists are thrilling and fun, but it's not nice to accept. Many things were out of the question. Still didn't look bad. I like acting very much. Quick movie to watch, what else!
Utopia (2013)
A Must Binge Watch Series!!
What a mind blowing series is this. Just awesome. Dennis Kelly created a damn beautiful series. Recently Amazon Prime remake this. Which was created by renowned author Gillian Flynn. But that series wasn't as expected this one.
Interesting story with well-made scripting. And also the making was fantabulous. Casting and Acting were also perfect. There hadn't any negative thing that we can talk about. I really loved this series.
Monsterland (2020)
Concept was great but output wasn't!!
"Living an untruth made you a monster. Living in truth makes you a man."
You can't escape from your own or inner demons. Basically, the new Hulu original anthology series Monsterland was based on the previous line. Fallen Angels, Werewolves, and Gothic creatures were also lived among us in reality. Because when a broken person tried to repair his life, he became desperate to do anything.
Defeated by worldly power, money, and greed; a defeated entity was born inside of him. That defeated entity to cover up its own grief, create a Monster. Then the man holds the monster of fairy tales in his own depths. In the end, the man realizes that there is only a thin line between Man and Monster.
The screenplay has been written with all such concepts in this anthology series of 6 episodes of Hulu. The concept of the series was good. But I didn't like the series that much. Episodes number one, five, and eight of the series are inspired by Nathan Balingrad's short story. But I like the first, number three and number five episodes, these three. This is not an anthology series that needs to be seen.
