#AMFAD All My Friends Are Dead (2024)
This was a blast!!
I really had alot of fun watching this one. I will say I didn't have it figured out at all. They do a good job keeping the killers identity a secret until the end with a nice revelation scene.
This was heavily publicized for being Jo Jo Siwas first horror and slasher movie, but yet they cast her as a character in flashback scenes. Just didn't get that part.
Overall I absolutely loved the gory kills and it was a blast watching how the seven deadly sins were recreated for each of the kids brutal deaths. It was fun watching most of these intolerable characters scrambling to survive while being picked off one by one.
The ending was a little underwhelming being that the killer's motive ended up not being totally justified.
Fun watch though and is available on amazon prime with the screambox subscription. I'm giving this one a 2nd watch, one of my favorites I've seen in theaters this year!
Stream (2024)
A bloody good time!!
Just saw Stream in theaters and it was such a fun and wild blast! Such a great ensemble of horror icons, it was a great treat.
The whole aspect of being locked in a hotel with deranged killers competing on which one of them can spill the most blood, made it so much better. The kills were fierce, brutal and over the top gruesome!
Danielle Harris was excellent in this whose family are unwilling participants in the clever and sadistic game being played at the hotel during their vacation and must work together to survive the night.
Definitely will be adding this to my collection and am excited for a sequel!
The Carpenter: Part 1 - And So They Die (2009)
Forgotten teen slasher emerges
Finally I was able to see this one on Tubi Tv. It was released back in 2009 and then fell off the map with no physical or streaming release.
Here have an alcoholic author with writers block. He hears about a killer at large called The Carpenter and decides to change his story to a horror story.
The film also shows the killer get to work on a pack of partying teens staying up on some huge isolated house.
The killers revelation comes quite a surprise as well.
I think this movie didn't have the best budget, but pretty much every kill was shown and were pretty gory.
If you are fans of partying teens running through the woods and getting gruesomely killed, then you'll definitely dig this one!!
Guys at Parties Like It (2024)
A wild thrill ride!
I personally enjoyed this one, even though I wouldn't consider it a horror flick. More of a psychological thriller with plenty of blood and guts to spare.
This movie does an excellent job on the whole frat party rape culture.
Sorority girl Mary, who is a total bad ass, finds herself in the middle of a fraternity hazing ritual gone wrong and becomes the target of a crazed pledge and his brothers. Part of their hazing ritual is to have the pledges loose their virginity to a girl at a party or be forced to sleep with a gay guy during the ritual. When Mary turns the pledge down and realizes she was roofied, she fights back. Suddenly the party turns really killer and a few people there die gruesome deaths.
Won't spoil the ending, but justice was definitely served as Mary learns she has bitten off more than she can chew.
Definitely recommend this one!
Killer Body Count (2024)
Horny teens must die!
This tubi tv original film was a complete blast. Extremely sexy and graphic!
The director in this has put together a nice and nasty little slasher film with plenty of blood and gore and sex.
The plot focuses on two incestuous siblings who run a wilderness camp for teens whose parents sent them there to be "fixed". The teens who are normal sexually active teens must fight for their lives when religion is mixed with death.
The promiscuous group of teens find themselves being killed off one by one by a killer in devil masked and is dressed like a Monk.
The main girl, the sultry and confused Cammie, along with 8 other teens find themselves trapped within the confines of the camp and must fight for survival.
This one has plenty of sex and nudity to go around and the kill scenes were gruesome and gory!
Highly recommend this teen slasher romp!
The Ex Obsession (2022)
Vindication at its best!
First off this married couple seriously could of used a counselor or two.
For a tubi original and a LMN flick, this one was very intriguing from start to finish.
Chaley Rose did an amazing job playing the manipulative villain perfectly well.
She plays a woman who is obviously not over her ex nor is happy with her life. She purposely makes her insecure husband think she is having an affair with her ex who is her husband's friend and orchestrates a altercation and then coldly kills her ex. Now her husband thinks he killed him and together they bury the body. She then is still obsessed, so she makes her husband become her ex. The wife's wicked plan hits a snag when her ex's new fiance comes looking for him. As events spiral out of control, she will make sure her husband loses his identity and goes insane so she can have him locked up for murder and she gets away free.
In the end, this calculating woman wins.
Overall good thriller. The needle to the eye murder scene was insane! The only thing it doesn't show, is what the murderess does to the new fiance after she lures her to an abandoned park. Such a great and creepy scene.
Definitely one of the better and different lifetime vicious vixens I've seen!
Surviving the Sleepover (2024)
Vicious Fun!
This new lifetime teen thriller could be considered a darker version of Mean Girls.
We have a beautiful new teenager (Sloan Mannino) in town who quickly snubs the schools resident mean girl (Jenna Hogan). She is almost thrilled when she is invited to a sleepover at her luxurious home with her two friends who are more like her followers. Things take a wicked turn when this queen B discovers the new girl has the hots for her stepbrother, who she herself is infatuated with. While using a game to get her to admit it, things turn sour and this new girl will quickly learn that the queen has a particularly nasty and vicious side, maybe even a deadly one.
Definitely had some fun with this trying anticipate what would happen next among the four girls. The tension between Hannah and Melissa was absolutely perfect!
This one also touches on the theme of loss such as loosing a parent and feelings of abandonment. Any of these can secretly drive some over the edge.
Good lifetime flick!
Killing All My Sisters (2024)
Excellent Sorority Thriller
This new lifetime thriller had a good cast and a good director Haylie Duff, who has played in sorority movies before. I think she nailed this one perfectly. It also had the right amount of mystery.
Just love these Greek life movies, they are always packed for of mystery, corruption and murder.
Grace Patterson, who usually plays someone sweet, however played the tough sorority president in this one. You could tell how much the sorority meant to her and how far she would go to protect, even if somehow allowing someone to use it for their own sick and twisted gain.
Freshman Emily and her roommate Jenna soon learn that joining the hottest sorority on campus isn't always the safest thing to do.
Overall a very good and new lifetime mystery to enjoy.
Dark Windows (2023)
Excellent and Wicked!!
Can't believe this one didn't come out to theaters here in the United States. Would of loved to have seen this in theaters.
Came across it as a rental on Amazon and I'm so glad I rented it!
Excellent from start to finish. Definitely an awesome teen thriller. Enjoyed the slow burn side to it.
Perfectly acted and cleverly directed as well!
The last half was one wild ride and the violence was intense and brutal.
The three leads did an amazing job and the director did a great job creating an atmosphere filled with dread and terror.
I loved the isolated country setting, added a spooky touch to the film.
Highly recommend this nice little surprise!
Late Checkout (2023)
Stylish and Enjoyable
Now this new slasher flick kicked ass!
The movie has us meet a killer who wears a welders mask and slaughters anyone caught out in the woods surrounding a small mountain town. A group of friends all from high school reunite for a weekend bash at an isolated cabin and are subjected to several nasty murders.
This one does not skimp out on the violence and the gore and has some eye popping kills! I think my favorite kill was where one of the young guys gets sliced open and then strangled with his own intestines. The machete to the head kill was great to see and with the killer using her dead body to wave at the other kids who run off. Lots of blood and gore in this one!
Also It doesn't rely on a confusing storyline line either.
The killers motive is simply because killing is fun. I kept waiting for some dark secret among the friends to come out and would the reasoning for the killing spree, but simply no connection, they are just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Fun seeing Felissa Rose playing a quirky character again, she is an absolute blast to watch!
Overall fun movie!!
Mea Culpa (2024)
Fun & Exciting
I have always loved Tyler Perry and this new film definitely did not disappoint at all. However it sort of started a but on the slower side, but became more and more engaging. It was also a little on the erotic thriller side which I enjoyed.
I will say I didn't have it figured out until the end.
The last half of it was thrilling and exciting.
Kelly Rowland did a good job in it also!
She plays Mea who is a tough lawyer who takes on a murder suspect client and finds herself up against her husband's brother and his wealthy family. When she falls for her client, she has to decide whether to keep representing him or not even though he may be guilty. Several twists and turns bring this thriller to life, I loved it!
She's Obsessed with My Husband (2024)
Vicious Lifetime Vixen
Alissa Filoramo was incredible in this thriller as a completely deranged seductress. Her beauty and sweet demeanor could fool anyone from seeing her malicious and devious side.
Here she stars as a woman who has been obsessed with her high school boyfriend for years and moves in next door to his family. She blames his wife who went to school with them also, for stealing him away. She then decides to hatch a dirty plan to get his wife out of the way and have him and his teenage daughter (Taylor Castro) all to herself.
Just know that whenever this seductress is forming a plan, chaos and destruction soon follow.
This movie was definitely not a slow one at all and really went in for the kill.
Definitely enjoyed it!
Tall, Dark, and Dangerous (2024)
A Valentine Psycho
This new lifetime movie is centered around Valentines day, where a psycho catfishing dates becomes romantically obsessed with a lawyer and then proceeds to stalk her at every turn.
I personally enjoyed this thriller, some of the acting wasn't the greatest but overall it kept my attention. I kept wanting to see what this psycho did next and all of the crap he put the lead actress through.
Jamie Bernadette did pretty well in her role as Alice, the lawyer he kept stalking.
However I do feel in these situations that the cops are pretty useless. I mean the guy gets away in the end. Hard to tell how many different identities he was using. Plus was hoping for a few more deaths in this. Not a bad lifetime valentines day stalker shocker!
The Wrong Life Coach (2024)
Bad Cheerleader
This was a pretty good lifetime thriller about a psychotic woman seeking revenge on am ex classmate who she blames for ruining her life when they were teenagers.
Allison McAtee plays the villain perfectly. As an actress she has a great range of skills to either play someone sweet and someone extremely evil.
Morgan Bradley plays the main character who let's a dangerous woman into her life and for some reason is unaware of the chaos she is causing and doesn't realize it has something to do with her past.
Jamie Bernadette plays the best friend who isn't too trusting of the new life coach and soon finds herself in the deranged woman's path.
This film as few small cameos in it from Tracey Nelson, Meredith Thomas, Michael Pare and Eric Roberts.
Was hoping for a more vicious cat fight at the end, but sadly didn't get one. The movie however did end in a good note.
Terror Train 2 (2022)
Pretty fun sequel
I won't spoil anything, but after watching this one and the terror train Remake back to back, I thought I figured out who the killer was because the the killer at the end of the first one didn't die out there on the tracks. So I assumed it could be the same killer, but with a cleverly done twist, it was someone else this time. The killer was pretty crazy, but not as deranged as the first killer.
However the kills in this week just as gory and pretty cool.
Liked how this time the survivors and a few others were being the ones killed off. The killer still wears different costumes in it also.
Overall pretty cool! Hoping for maybe a third one soon!
Secret Santa (2015)
You're the Carolers!
Christmas slasher with very little holiday cheer. A group of 4 college girls living together have a small Christmas party with a few friends, unaware a maniacal killer wearing a ski mask is on the loose. The friends plan a secret Santa gift exchange and do not realize that the killer has delivered each one of them a special present that contains heavy duty equipment like garden shears, turkey carver, power drill and some other twisted items. As the night goes on, each of the kids are brutally killed off with whatever item that was in their gift. They also have to deal with 3 sinister christmas carolers also.
This movie was surprisingly pretty good despite its low budget feel.
Not bad acting and gory murder scenes.
We get to see a death by a power drill, a turkey carver to the stomach, knife murders, a bludgeoning with a hair dryer and a castration scene with garden shears.
This little Christmas horror offering is worth checking out!
Snake Hotel (2023)
Missed opportunity
They definitely could of made this a fun B rated snake action flick like the Python movies or Boa, even King Cobra. But this one just lacked any B movie craziness.
First off it takes forever even to show the snake and the setting looked like an old estate rather than a hotel.
The cover sold me on this one, granted I should of watched the trailer first. It looked like alot of fun.
The premise of the story was a little interesting, but I would of chose a setting like a hotel skyscraper and had the snakes being experimented there secretly and have them escape and wreck havoc that way. Would of been much cooler.
Fog City (2023)
Killers in the flesh
This movie shows you that deep down anyone can become a killer when in a state of despair and survival.
A group of wealthy high school teens spend a weekend together at an isolated beach house before they all graduate and leave their island community.
On the island is a mysterious closed down power plant. When an alarm sounds and an eerie orange fog rolls in, the friends believe it is coming from the plant.
So they begin to panic and quickly sink into survival mode. They believe that if you've been exposed to the fog, that you are now infected. But these spoiled teens use that as a method of seeking revenge upon each other and soon a series of brutal murders begin.
This one has sudden and gory violence with plenty of blood splatter to go around.
The revelation at the end is the best part, when you actually find out what is behind the sirens and the fog.
Paranoia and despair seem to be the main themes presented in this one and it quickly shows what it can do to you.
Looked like they mostly used practical effects in this one for the kill scenes and they were surprisingly well done.
Fans of scantily-clad teens running around drenched in blood, will enjoy this one!
Deadly Desire (2023)
Nice suspense!
This new thriller was surprisingly pretty good and effective.
Some may say this one is the same as most other psycho obsession movies, but the cast in this one made it feel different.
Erica Peeples played the lead psychopath with finess and was actually quite menacing. Her performance of the cold blooded killer definitely kept me intrigued and wanted to see what she was going to do next.
I will say that the bride was oblivious to the warning signs that everyone else seemed to pick up.
So in this one, a mentally unbalanced woman (Erica Peeples) invites her childhood best friend (D'Kia Anderson) on a weekend getaway to celebrate her upcoming wedding. She takes her out to an isolated villa resort along with her three best friends from work as a celebratory Bachelorette party. Determined to get her alone, the crazed woman begins to eliminate the girls one by one who get in her way or try to warn their friend about her evil ways. Two dancers from a strip club become victims as well in the middle of the film which stirs the other girls suspicions. Has some stabbings and throat slicing throughout as well.
Overall a damn good thriller!
Natty Knocks (2023)
Nice and Tame Halloween Flick 🎃
Definitely was excited for this one and I honestly enjoyed it! I felt it was a nice little horror flick for the Halloween season. It wasn't too bloody either.
Great to see Danielle Harris back in a Halloween type of movie and to star with Robert Englund and Bill Moseley. I loved her with Tobert Englund in Urban Legend and with Bill Moseley in Blood Night!
The main character Britt's performance in this was awesome! Let's hope she does some more horror movies soon. All of the kids in this did a good job. I particularly enjoyed the Halloween haunted house scene as well, thought that part was perfectly done.
I went into this thinking it was possibly going to be a teen slasher flick, but it surprisingly enough had a decent storyline!
The Slaughter (2022)
Not much of a Climax
This stalk and slash was pretty good, but more on the slower side.
There wasn't much of a climax either except for a brief insight on what had happened to one of the killers when they were a child.
It was also pretty easy to figure out the villains in this and the set up from the beginning.
In this one, a group of friends are tricked into partying at a decrepit film studio.
After they watch a mysterious film that shows a family being killed, they are unaware that it is a snuff video. Soon enough the friends night of drugs and sex turns into a bloodbath as they are stalked and hunted down by a doll masked killer from the snuff film.
The stalking scenes are pretty slow but the violence and kills were decent.
Overall not to bad of a slasher film.
Currently available on Tubi Tv.
That's a Wrap (2023)
Delivers the Goods!
I gave this one 10 stars because I enjoyed every minute of it!! What a great and fun giallo inspired slasher flick. I loved how the film mainly took place at a film studio. The smaller settings make these kinds of films more intense and thrilling.
The cast here did an excellent job in their roles, especially Sarah French and Monique Parent.
Had so much fun trying to guess on who the mistress killer was, definitely wasn't expecting the reveal of the killer. I've seen plenty of movies where usually the first person to leave a party or something and dies first, but their death is not actually shown, typically turns up to be the killer.
The design of the mistress in this was pretty awesome too.
The kills were the best part and just as gruesome as I was hoping they would be!!
Definitely one of the better movies I rented off of amazon.
Hopefully this one comes out on DVD soon. Great job to everyone involved in this!
I also enjoyed the last second of the film when the killer eerily says "That's A Wrap."
Perfect ending!
Murdercise (2023)
Total Blast!
This 80s throwback film was a complete blast from beginning to end. Perfectly filled with 80s sleaze and aerobics.
Everyone played their characters perfectly, but the standout role goes to Kansas Bowling. She plays this cute little overachiever who keeps getting a bad hand and quickly becomes alot stronger. I also absolutely loved miss mafia princess, she kicked major ass. Hopefully we will get to see more of these two girls soon! So much fun watching her in this!
This reminded me of other cheesy 80s movies I watched late night as a kid.
I hope people do not take this one too seriously and just have alot of fun and laughs watching this!!
Great job to everyone involved in this killer exercise flick!!
Killer Connection (2022)
Not a bad thriller, but confusing ending
Just recently come across this movie under the title Killer Connection on Tubi Tv.
Very nicely done thriller, but however the ending didn't really make sense to me.
Spoilers ahead
So if the reporter and the stalker Janet were in on the killings together and luring the pregnant psychologist there just to steal her baby, then who was the playboy looking chick with the reporter at the end. They never showed who she was in the movie. Then they don't show what happens to the Janet serial killer either.
My guess is that the girl at the end must of been the reporters new girlfriend or something.
A reporter and her team bring along a psychologist to a wooded town to interview a serial killer who is still at large and is killing people in the area. Once they unmask her, most of the movie is her story about her messed up childhood. At the end there are some killings and a pretty well done twist.
Overall not bad.
Meet the Killer Parents (2023)
Pretty eerie lifetime flick
Almost passed on this lifetime flick, but I checked it out anyways and it was pretty good.
Also had some pretty violent and bloody scenes in it including someone getting their eyes drilled out.
I liked the creepy atmosphere this one also had and the bleak winter setting was also nice.
A young woman with a treacherous past decides to go on a weekend trip to meet her new boyfriends wealthy parents.
She quickly discovers some thing is off with the family.
I also wasn't expecting the ending to this one as well, definitely twisted and disturbing.
For a lifetime flick, this one is certainly worth a watch. Also can see it on tubi tv I believe.
