I've generally watched several movies a day from all countries and eras and rated them on IMDb accordingly for many years.
My favorite directors are Billy Wilder, Ingmar Bergman, Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino among others.
Some of my favorite movies consists of The Godfather: Part II, Spellbound(Alfred Hitchcock), Strangers on a Train, the Original Star Wars Trilogy and Pulp Fiction.
My favorite TV-shows are Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Wire, The Sopranos, Fargo and more.

"Giliap" (1975)
One of Roy's best
Roy Anderson is, indeed, one of the all time greats, and yet indeed another testament of the provice of Swedish and European filmmaking.
This film is definitely one of his most profound and all around great masterpieces. It is very well acted, unconventionally and well written and excellently paced. Very artistically and uniquelly put together.
The cinematography, cutting and editing is stellar, very much in line with the director's ever incredible and recognizable style, and very beautifully put together in every sense of the word.
Definitely an incredible and highly recommended film for any lover of film, and fans of Roy Anderson!
Urban Cowboy (1980)
Stellar and well acted fun
This incredible film, by a great director, and featuring some stellar actors indeed, is definitely a fun and highly recommended experience - being somewhat similar to the ever incredible Midnight Cowboy.
The actors all do a great job, of course, aso ne would expect, and Travolta gives it his all. Great writing and pacing, good mix of laid-back and emotional.
The cinematography, cutting and editing is stellar, very beautifully and tonnaly put together, very befitting of the film and director's flair indeed.
Overall, definitely an incredible film, one of the best of the year, and indeed very much recommended for any lover of film!
Woman of the Hour (2023)
Terrifying and impressive debut
Anna Kendrick is, indeed, one of the all-star actors, and it is interetsing to see her helm a film in the director's chair.
Needless to say, this highly anticipated film very much lives up to its hype, and is a great, low key and terrifying recount of one of America's most horrifying killers. Very well acted, emotional and subtle in its storytelling. Very visually pleasing indeed.
Great cinematography, cutting and editing, very beautifully put together.
Overall, definitely an impressive and well acted piece, and I hope to see more from Anna Kendrick. Highly recommended, very terrifying and well made.
Rappresaglia (1973)
Stellar Richard Burton war drama
This incredible war drama, by a personal favourite director, and with the ever incredible Richard Burton in the mix, is definitely a highlight in the genre, and indeed an instant classic in the genre.
The actors all do an incredible job, conveying a harsh, yet emotional and poignant ways, very beautifully and emotionally put together, and accompined by a stellar script for the ages indeed, as one would expect. Very beautifully and well paced and written.
The cinematography, cutting and editing is stellar, very beautifully put together and in line with the director's flair indeed, very great set pieces.
Overall, definitely an incredible war drama, highly recommended for any lover of film, and fans of the director and actors!
Gladiator II (2024)
Surprisingly masterful
Whilst I had high expectations for Ridley Scott's new stellar adventure , I was of course expecting it to be way inferior to the original masterpiece. The director himself described it as his best film, and it is indeed a very clever, worthwhile and epic scale film.
The actors all do an incredible job, capturing the essence of Ridley's incredible story, and conveying a sense similar, yet groundbreaking from the first one. Make no misstake, this film feels very justified in its existance - it complements the first film and its messages in a nice way and showcases the power and corruption splendidly.
The cinematography, cutting and editing, of course, is stellar, revolutionary and very groundbreaking. Some of the prettiest visuals you will ever see, and some stellar action set pieces. Very beauitfully put together overall.
Definitely one of the most anticipated, and best films of the year. Give it a watch for sure. Not all may appreciate it and its rather crazy twists, but I for one really loved it!

Incredible low key celebration of importance
This incredible documentary, by one of the best in Swedish documentary making, is definitely a very worthwhile and important piece, celebrating some of the most important players in our society - different care takers.
Like few other films, this one delves deep into the truths and intimacy of it all, and showcases how hard and poignant it can be. Very excellently cut, very emotional, but also showcasing the connections between them all, very humour and the bright sides. Very beautifully written and paced indeed.

Overall, definitely a piece of stellar filmmaking, highly recommended, a very important and poignant watch!

This incredible drama, by a personal favourite director, and featuring a stellar cast indeed, was definitely one of the more anticipated films of the year - and one that sure delivers in yet another testament of the great provice of Swedish filmmaking.
The actors all do an incredible job, excellently catpruing the essence of the time period and its players gracefully, very emotional and poignant,very well written and paced.
The cinematography, cutting and editing is incredible, very epic scale and immensely beautifully put together indeed. Great costumes work and tone.
Overall, definitely an incredible and emotional poignant drama, highly recommended!

Exceptional emotional rollercoaster
This incredible and truly based German drama is, indeed, one that very much lives up to its great reputation, and yet a worthy and stellar testament of the stellar director and actors, being some personal favourites of mine.
The actors all do an incredible job, expertly conveing the complexities and hardships of the story exceptionally, very beautifully and emotional, and all of this accompined by a stellar script for the ages indeed. Excellent writing and pacing.
The cinematography, cutting and editing is great, very much in line with the tone of the film, and very bleak and befitting. Very beautifully put together indeed.
Overall, definitely one of the best albeit somewhat overlooked films of the year. Highly recommended for any lover of film! An important story for sure.
Varg (2008)
Incredible, poignant and unique
This incredible film, by a great director and featuring some very poignant cast, was indeed a highly anticipated feature, and safe to say, exceeds even those expectations, to say the least.
It is a very deep and allegorical, raw and emotional film, great acting from true legends, and indeed very well written, emotional and well paced.
The cinematography, cutting and editing is stellar, playing a big part in its stellar imagery and in line with the tone of the film and director's style. Very beautifully put together indeed.
Overall, definitely an incredible film that I can not recommend enough, watch this incredible film now!

Incredible film for the ages
This incredible Swedish drama, based on one of the great novels, is indeed highly recommended and stands as an immense classic for the ages, of course.
The actors all do an incredible job, bringing the novel character's to life splendidly and gracefully, and it is indeed very beautifully and well written in every sense of the word. Excellent pacing.
The cinematography, cutting and editing is stellar, great imagery, metaphors and costumes works in every sense of the word. Very beautifully put together and capturing the essence of the novel.
All around, an incredible and epic drama that is highly recommended for lovers of film, and fans of the novel!

This incredible film, by the ever incredible directors and personal favourites of many of us lovers of films, is indeed a masterpiece in every sense of the word, and a great showcase of some stellar acting indeed.

Masterful debut of a master
Suzanne Osten is, of course, one who needs little in terms of introduction. Being one of the all time great directors, not just in Sweden, but abroad, she has provided a vast and ever impressive filmography of stellar and revolutionary dramas across her career.
This, her debut film, is of course just as impressive as ever, being a very poignant, well acted and artistic outlook at life and coming-of-age in a way. Splendid acting from true legends, very career defining and beautiful. Great writing, pacing and lots of metaphorical and allegorical imagery.
The cinematography, cutting and editing is incredible, very much in line with her style and indeed very beautifully put together and in line with the tone of the film.
Highly recommended for any lover of film!
Memory (2023)
One of the best films of the year
This incredible film was indeed one of the more anticipated features of the year, by a personal favourite director of mine, and featuring some stellar acting in a poignant feature, to say the least.
And it sure lives up to its hype.
The actors all do an incredible job, as one would expect from such legends, very emotional, poignant, sometimes funny and very cleverly written. Overall immensely career defining and splendid all around. Great pacing and writing.

The Room Next Door (2024)
Is this Almodovar's best film?
The above statement is, indeed, a rather bold and no faint praise, to say the least. Pedro Almodovar is one of the best directors of all time, and an immense auteur.
But this english debut film from him is indeed maybe the best, most poignant, subtle and beautiful outlook at life, friendship and artistic integrity that he has made as of yet.
The actors all do an incredible job, as one would expect from such legendary actors, and it is a rather career defining, emotional and all around incredible affair. Very beautifully written and paced, to say the least.
The cinematography, cutting and editing is beautiful, very much in line with Almodovar's style, and accompining the tone of the film splendidly, very beautifully put together indeed.
Overall, definitely an incredible film that is highly recommended for any lover of film and fans of Almodovar!

Masterful and poetic doc
This incredible and ever acclaimed Berlin film festival winner is definitely one of the more anticipated and best films of the year.
It is a very poignant exploration of history and heritage as as people try to reclaim their culture and right of existance, and it is indeed a powerful and emotional, yet sublty told journey. Wonderful cinematography, cutting and editing and overall a very artistic piece, befitting of its subject indeed.
Definitely very worthy of its awards and praise, and I can say nothing less than this is indeed one of the, if not perhaps the, best film of the year.
A very important and highly recommended film!

This incredible drama, by the ever impressive and incredible Richard Linklater, is indeed one of his best films, and one very much deserving of all the praise it has gotten throughout the years.
The actors all do an incredible job, as one would expect from such a legendary cast, and it is indeed a great mix of drama and humour and poignant life issues at its best. Very beautifully written and paced indeed, great script by a master.

Overall, incredible Golden Globes winner, highly recommended for any lover of film!
Luther (2010)
Incredible drama series
This incredible series needs little in terms of introduction indeed, being most often cited as one of the all time greats and best ones of all time, and for good reason, being yet another splendid BBC masterpiece.
The actors all do an incredible job, very iconic, career defining, suspensful and emotional across all the seasons an episodes. Very splendid and cinematic, great script and pacing.
The cinematography, cutting and editing is incredible, very beautifully put together indeed, and rather feature worthy, very befitting of the fast, yet emotional and poignant tone of this great show.
Overall, of course a highlight that everyone should give a watch, if you by odds haven't seen it already, highly recommended for any lover of film!

Ryuichi Sakamoto | Opus (2023)
Beautiful ode to the master
The passing of the ever incredible Sakamoto left a void in the world of film, indeed, but this incredible magnum opus to his ever incredible and impressive career is definitely a great showcase of his provice, and great delving into some of the all time great movie tracks.
Granted, it is a very acquired piece, being composed entirely of his musical acts, no dialogue at all - but I feel it captures his essence rather splendidly.
Overall, very beautifully shot and cinematographied, edited and composed piece, giving just the right attention to all of his stellar tracks in all the best fashion.
Highly recommended for any lover of film, and fans of this legendary musician and composer - if you know what you are getting into!
Armand (2024)
Masterful Bergman esque drama
This incredible drama, by a stellar director, and the Norweigan Oscar submission, is definitely recommended and deserving of all the praise it has gotten. The comparison to Bergman is, indeed, not without cause, and rather justified.
It is an intense, subtle and allegorical drama in the purest sense, very splendid acting and writing indeed, very beautifully and rawly made and a great relationships piece.

Overall, definitely a masterpiece, one of the, rightfully, most anticipated films of the year, and highly recommended for any lover of film!
Anomalisa (2015)
Artistic, unique and lovely
This incredible drama in an animated style, by one of my personal favourite directors, is definitely one of the better films of the year, and indeed an artistic and ever appreciated expression in its purest sense.
The actors all do an incredible job, conveying a bizzare, yet emotional and utterly career defining acts, to say the least. Accompined by a stellar script for the ages, very emotional, witty and well written and paced.
The cinematography, cutting and editing is incredible, very unqiue as one would expect, very beautifully put together and well animated in a nice hybrid style.
Overall, definitely a masterful achievement, that is, of course, highly recommended for any lover of film and fans of the director!
Janis: Little Girl Blue (2015)
Stellar portrait of the legend
Capturing the essence of a rock legend like Janis Joplin is, indeed, not a small task. This experienced and ever incredible director, however, beautifully conveys the ups and downs of her career, and how she revolutionized popular music like few others with her blues induced psychedelic rock.
It is expertly, cut, edited and written - a very feature worthy presentation in every sense of the word, and truly capturing the hippie feeling of the 1960s splendidly.
The score is, of course, incredible, as any fan of Janis' work would expect. All very splendidly incorporated into the film in epic fashion.
Definitely a highly recommended and well put together feature for every fan of film and music. Highly recommended for any fans of Janis Joplin!
We Live in Time (2024)
One of the best of the year
This was indeed one of the, if not even the, most anticipated film of the year, by a great and favourite director of mine, and featuring some stellar acting in a promising Oscar buzzer.
Safe to say, it more than lives up to its hype - it is a very unconventional and beautiful depiction of life in all of its stages, very funny, yet tear dropping and gracefully made in a non-chronological order. The actors all do an incredible job, very nuanced and very human, incredible writing and pacing.
The cinematography, cutting and editing is incredible, very revolutionary in a sense, and in line with the tone of the film, very beautifully put together.
Overall, definitely a masterpiece, very unique and very much recommended for any lover of film!
