Fai caan che (1984)
one of the best films from the three brothers
i think the summary says it all. i love project a, and my lucky stars, dragons forever, and winners and sinners, but wheels on meals in the best out of all of them. one of my friends put me on a lot of Jackie Chan films right after rumble in the Bronx, and the first two movie he gave me as a birthday gift, was ProjectA and Wheels on Meals. it's a prefect fit of comedy, action, and martial arts. Thomas (Jackie)and David (Yuen Biao)are cousins and have a food business in a van, and run into a girl, who is nothing but trouble, and Sammo Hung is a detective, who is looking for the girl. The comedy is great, and the action is brilliant, and this is one of the film i would love to remake. Rent or buy this movie if you are a fan.
Lang man sha shou zi you ren (1990)
great action flick
i remember my friend Barry telling me about this movie and i watched it and fell in love with it. i think Simon yam, who is not really an action star,(but made a couple of them)really surprised me with his performance in this film. the film killers romance is just that, an action film, with a romantic twist, that doesn't make the romance all sweet and corny like American films do.Simon Yam plays Jeffrey an adopted son of a Japanese yakuza boss, when his dad is killed he comes back home from school, and decides to get his revenge after he is told that the Chinese's gang, killed his dad, and on his journey he falls in love with this girl who actually is a witness to one of he's hits, but it all twist's and turns, when you see this film. GREAT ACTION FLICK
