The Covenant (2023)
OMG
This movie is a harrowing tale of endurance beyond what we think any human can do. Faced with torture and death a man puts his own life and safety on the line to save the life of another and to save the lives of his wife and child who are in mortal danger from terrorists. I wasn't able to sit through this movie in one go because of the abject tension and impending horror constantly. It won the edge of your seat stuff and constantly reminded of exactly what was at stake every second. The acting was first class and the characters very real in every way. This movie will stay with me for a very long time. I have great respect for the men and women who put their lives on the line so that we can live our lives with freedom.
Somewhere Boy (2022)
Excellent Show
Some parts are slow as other have said but it's an amazing show. What a story. The acting is really good. A sad but intriguing story of a Fathers madness and how that can affect the life of this around him. It's interesting and thoroughly entertaining. I doubt there will be another season as the show ended on a good note but I wouldn't be disappointed if there was a second season. I was desperately sorry for the son and his secluded life but in the end his coming out changed the lives of so many others in the show and all for the good. As I said before it's an amazing story and told with incredible poignancy.
The Family Fang (2015)
Waste of time
Certainly not worth my time. Just rubbish. Boring rubbish. I had to stop.
Lucifer (2016)
No no no
I've loved this show since day one, now it's the last half of Season five
Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to basically turn this into some sort of musical
I'm praying all these stupid interludes stop, so we can get back to Lucifer.
The Dry (2020)
Good movie
I read the book (10/10) before seeing this movie. I can imagine the movie would be confusing without prior knowledge of the story. Really worth looking though.
Being Dead (2020)
Good movie
I was confused a lot of the time as the movie jumps from the present to the past quite a lot but I really enjoyed the ride. Slow and thought provoking with great acting
Limetown (2019)
Hoped I'd like it,
But it really turns out to be a lot of nothing. Made it through 4 episodes and can't be bothered with any more. 4 episodes and "pleasures herself" in each one. What the hell, even after hearing an awful confession. Doesn't make any sense at all
Elizabeth Is Missing (2019)
Excellent
A tense and moving show brilliantly portrayed by talented actors. Loved it
Jungle (2017)
Incredible
This is a truly amazing story. The acting is a revelation. I'm so glad I have seen this show and its impact will stay with me for a very time.
Leviafan (2014)
You couldn't find a more depressing movie
This is a long movie but because of the high scores, I was convinced something pleasant might happen. It didn't. The rich mongrels win and the guy who's done absolutely nothing wrong pays the price. Miserable show. I'm really disappointed
Succession (2018)
Brilliant
Definitely one of my favourite shows. Mostly awful characters acted to perfection by a brilliant group of movie stars. Waiting impatiently for the next season.
The Devil All the Time (2020)
Not a pleasant story
Pattinson plays a sleazy preacher to perfection. Certainly an Oscar winning performance
99 Homes (2014)
Awful movie
Hard to believe so many people writing that this was enjoyable to watch. It was not.
I could not finish watching this movie. Terrible to watch people bring evicted from their homes in such a callous manor with their only belongings being dumped outside in the front yard. Could not watch such cruelty
Richard Jewell (2019)
Brilliant movie
Such a great movie with superlative acting has brought to life the devastating impact of the media and misinformation
Trauma Center (2019)
Poor Bruce
I love him but the time has come to up his boots. The acting is pathetic as he painfully slowly paces from scene to scene moving only his lips and talking to himself. I just can't stay until the end. What a shame he's come to this
Critical (2015)
Really???
Operations performed where all the surgeons, doctor's and staff don't wear any masks??? Blood spurting all over the place and no masks??? An operating theatre where staff are nervous and hesitant???? Give me a break !!!!
Gisaengchung (2019)
Such an achievement
This was a wonderful film and I enjoyed absolutely everything about it. It's thought provoking and the story of a poor family wanting a better life isn't new but this particular concept is just amazing. I will be thinking about these people for a very long time. I can't wait to watch it all again. Loved it. Loved it. Loved it
The Crown (2016)
Season 3
I absolutely loved the first 2 seasons and was looking forward to the continued story, however Season 3 is a huge disappointment. This shows the queen as unlikable and unfeeling which I'm sure is not true. Outstanding performances are Princess Anne, the Prime Minister and the Welsh teacher. I'm bored and not sure I can even bother to continue. How could they get the other portrayals of the Royal family so wrong? Damned shame. From brilliant to bring.
Brothers' Nest (2018)
Wow
You'll relive this movie long after it's finished. Great acting. What a climax. What an ending. What a movie
The Righteous Gemstones (2019)
Absolute Rubbish
I found this show, after a couple of episodes to be sooo childish. I would say, if it weren't for all the swearing and sexual connotations, it could be listed as show for 5 year olds. None of the characters are in the least bit amusing and the antics these spoilt siblings get up to are ludicrous. There isn't one likeable person in the entire show
The Upside (2017)
Really good
This movie I found to be tender and sweet. Bryan and Kevin act so well together. Loved it
Arctic (2018)
Brilliant
All the way through it was so exciting. I kept thinking that things couldn't get any worse. On the edge of my seat to the very end. Such great acting.
Magnífica 70 (2015)
Rubbish.
Complete rubbish and couldn't get past 20 minutes. Not much sense can be made of why they would bother making a movie like this. Can't image how this managed to get such high Mark's.
The Young Pope (2016)
Amazing
There is no other series like this. A wonderful journey
Each and every scene is like an oil painting. Loved every moment and the acting was brilliant
Black Mirror (2011)
Season 4 Episode 3
I've watched this episode and its shocking in its brilliance. I'm sure to have nightmares tonight. OMG
