River (2015)
One of THE BEST shows EVER
Usually I start to watch a show and I lose interest especially if the story line stretches out but this show reached out and grabbed me and sucked me right in.
I am totally in awe of every single actor in this show and now I'm trying to find anything similar to watch because for some unknown reason River was a 1 and done show. Of all shows that I'd want to watch another season of its this show. I think the reasoning was why mess with perfection? Or maybe once the storyline was resolved where else could we go with these characters?
I'm watching it over again until I find something compatible to get hooked on. Nicola Walker and Stellan Skarsgard are incredible actors with very convincing acting chemistry.
Evil (2019)
One of the best shows ever
I can't say enough wonderful things about this show. Finally something different than the usual drivel that tv has to offer. Amazing cast, well written captivating stories. I hope to see many more seasons. I don't want to give anything away but I'm telling you I can't get enough of this show.
Hillbilly Elegy (2020)
A cure for insomnia
This movie should have just stayed a book.
Everything about it stinks.
There's absolutely nothing to hold my attention so I read the ending which is mundane and I turned this crud off.
It only gets a 1 from me because they did a heck of a job making Glenn Close look 90.
The Dead Don't Die (2019)
So disappointing
I feel like no one even tried to make this movie good.
I only gave it a 2 because it had good people in it.
There was absolutely nothing redeemable about this movie.
The actors acted like they were in a coma.
I am so sad because I was really looking forward to this.
You Belong to Me (2021)
Natural Sleep aid
All I really needed to hear is Casey Affleck is in it and I should've known better. Listening to him is sleep inducing. He has no emotion in his voice, just monotone.
The script was so predicting I had it figured out 15 minutes into the movie.
I just kept thinking please be over.
I could honestly have cared less about anyone in this film.
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017)
Must see this at least once in your life
Ok, I have a soft spot for just about anything Woody Harrelson does not because i have a crush on him physically but gosh darn this man is a great actor.
The story is written superbly.
The cast is spectacular.
Frances McDormand rocks the role she plays as well as Sam Rockwell.
I've seen this movie 3 times so far. I know I'll see it another 3 if not 10 more times.
It's so rare to find a movie written well, acted well, and that keeps you riveted the whole time. I swear I just cannot say enough about it.
Nine Dead (2009)
Doesn't even deserve a 1 star
Everything about this movie sucked.
The only thing worse than the storyline was the acting.
Melissa Joan Hart should've changed her identity after this sack of monkey-poo was released.
Just bad and painful to watch.
The Devil All the Time (2020)
Not bad like I thought it was going to be
This turned out to be a pretty good movie but you can't get up and go to the bathroom because you need to watch everything. It starts a bit slow but it was necessary to set up the story.
I would have given it a 10 but I can't handle any animal deaths, it ruins it for me and I almost stop watching.
Tom Holland was pretty impressive and Robert Pattinson was impressive as a bad guy. He's finally breaking out of that Edward vampire crap and becoming a diverse actor.
Watch this and I think you'll be glad you did.
Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)
Made me want to doze off
This movie just didn't do a thing for me.
It never explains too much even at the end which speaking of the end that was my favorite part.
I'm not a Angelina Jolie fan to begin with and this didn't change my mind any.
The title of the movie makes it sound way more interesting than it is. Save your money and or time on this one.
Big Stan (2007)
Shocked and amazed
Usually Rob Schneider movies are pretty cringeworthy but this little gem really impressed me.
It had a great cast, unfortunately many have since passed on.
I actually laughed throughout the entire movie.
I'm going to say this was probably my favorite Rob Schneider movie.
Spiral (2019)
Who needs Ambien when this will put you to sleep
This was just incredibly boring.
To compare it to Get Out or Hereditary is a big mistake.
The writing was lazy and all over the place.
I cared for absolutely none of the characters and usually I can connect with one.
Just a big ole boring bucket of suck.
Dead End (2003)
Garbage
I'm sitting here questioning the sanity of anyone that gives this movie an 8, 9, or 10.
It was one of the dumbest movies I've ever seen. I saw Linn Shae was in it and immediately thought oh boy.
I could have been watching reruns of Wings.
Rage (2021)
Torn on this one
First let me say that even though I liked this movie, this movie was stretched wayyyy too long. 30 minutes could have easily been cut.
Second there were too many implausible things. The therapist was not legally able to tell anyone anything about her patient but she spilled it.
3rd, two people trying to ID the same guy would not be in the room at the same time nor would the detective be allowed to keep saying just tell me it's him.
Her not talking, well I think we got the point but a good 30 minutes of film was her sitting there not talking.
And who in their right mind takes their wife to a restaurant that his mistress works at? Was it the only restaurant in town?
Him getting shot in the head and living without brain damage? Okayyyy again that's a stretch.
Last but not least what made me the angriest is why wouldn't you ID the creep knowing it was him, just so he could do this to someone else? It wasn't going to change what the 2 of them did.
I liked this better in the beginning but it was so long and got more far fetched.
If you have 2 1/2 hours to watch it and don't mind watching people stare off for long periods of time you'll be good.
I See You (2019)
Pleasantly surprised
So I'm not a big fan of Helen Hunt but I watched this with an open mind.
I'm extremely picky when it comes to movies but this was actually pretty darn good.
Surprising plot twist at the end.
I think the only reason I didn't give it a 9 is I really just do not think Helen Hunt is a good actress.
Definitely a good watch.
Body Brokers (2021)
Not as bad as I expected
Really the best thing about this movie in my opinion was Jack Kilmer.
The story wasn't something I'd normally be interested in but he did a really good job keeping me invested in it. I didn't even know Val Kilmer had a son.
So it wasn't spectacular but it wasn't bad. It's just one of those movies if you're bored and looking for something to do you watch it and say okay.
I really hate to think this really goes on in the world but nothing surprises me anymore.
Wasn't expecting the ending to be like that though.
Breaking News in Yuba County (2021)
Pretty awesome movie
This movie was surprisingly good from start to finish.
The cast was great. The acting was great.
The story was actually well thought out and it was one of those movies you need to watch all of it so you don't miss any part of the plot.
I highly recommend this one and I'm pretty picky.
The Empty Man (2020)
I feel empty
I still can't figure out what I just watched.
It started out promising. After the last teen dies it went haywire.
Any movie that you pay attention to but at the end you still don't know what happened, has failed as a movie.
I was hoping to read a review that would explain this enough so that I could say oh, now I get it.
There was a pointless dead dog scene that had absolutely no place in the movie which makes me wonder why 90 percent of every movie has a dead dog in it.
The 2 I gave it was for the 10-20 minutes I actually thought the movie had a chance.
Sorry but I'm not one of those woke individuals that understands cosmic nihilism and out of body and mind stuff.
So watch it if you want. If you love these movies where you need to take notes and do mathematical equations to figure it out then I guess you'll love it.
Drop me a line if you can dumb it down enough for me.
Under the Skin (2013)
Just don't
I couldn't hate this movie more if I tried.
Lucky for Scarlett she still had a career after this heap of crap movie.
Schitt$ Creek (2015)
I miss it already.
This is one of those shows you discover by accident and love it so much you binge watch it. I was sad to find out it was coming to and end so I decided just to start all over. The casting was spectacular. It was just a hilarious but meaningful sitcom. I would have loved to see a few more seasons.
Synchronic (2019)
Good movie if you need help falling asleep
This movie just bored me from beginning to end.
Poorly written. Mind numbing.
All it inspired me to do is take a nap and forget I even watched it.
Butt Boy (2019)
I'm shocked I actually like this
This movie seemed like a sure fire disaster but I had nothing better to do so I watched it.
As dumb as the story line seemed I found myself riveted.
I mean I'm embarrassed to say I liked this movie. I don't know whether to be ashamed or just accept it as a quirky and odd movie.
Centigrade (2020)
If only giving it a 0 was an option
Besides hating both of these whiny idiots who were dumb enough to pull over in the first place I literally didn't care if any of them survived.
I wasn't sure if they hated each other or what because one minute they were screaming and throwing hands and the next they were professing their love.
A newborn NEVER would have survived this.
And I'm never a fan of a movie that involves incessant screaming baby for prolonged periods of time.
I wound up watching cute animals on Facebook while I listened and periodically glanced at the tv since begging my husband to turn it off wasn't working.
This movie stink, stank, stunk.
Horizon Line (2020)
Insult to my intelligence
Where do I begin?
Stupid from start to finish.
Horrible writing.
The most unbelievably stupid things that would never actually happen in real life as far as him walking all over the outside of a plane flying with no safety harness or anything.
I don't even want to finish this but my husband insists on seeing how much worse it can get.
Wander (2020)
What did I just watch
Good actors is about all I can say about this nothing of a film.
I expected better from Tommy Lee and Aaron but every once in a while everyone's entitled to make a bad decision.
If you can follow the story line without getting a headache then good for you but I just don't have that kind of patience.
Never does it make sense. Never does it entertain. Never did I care about any of the characters except the dog.
Total drivel.
Dreamkatcher (2020)
What did I just see?
The only reason I gave this movie a 2 and not a 1 is because it had promise.
I say had because inexplicably at the end were left with no end.
Don't have someone watch this wondering what exciting finale it may have or wondering how this will be resolved.
It's just one of those movies that started off good and then the writer just drew a blank on how it should end so it just ends.
Don't waste your time on this unless you enjoy being left in limbo trying to figure out an ending of your own.
