Amantide - Scirocco (1987)
sensuality at best
I have watched this movie in late 80s in a theater where majority of crowd came for action and they all were treated with plenty in this one.
If talking of erotica, this will definitely stand up higher in ranks. Aldo Rado at his best and Fiona Gelin not only looked sensual but she managed to create lot of on screen heat and the horseback sex scene was one of the best I have ever seen in an erotica. There is also a scene in a crowded bus where our sexy heroine is being felt up by many men and I think this scene was later ditto copied by Tinto Brass in one of his movie.
The plot is okay but the locations are great. So if you are looking for some hot action this is where you should go. 8 out of 10
The Dreamers (2003)
Confusing
Bertolucci is considered a vary good director and I have seen some of his other works like Last Tango and Stealing Beauty, but somehow the storyline is always complicated at times which does not reach to conclusion or leave you somewhat confused at the end.
Dreamers is otherwise superbly filmed but at the end it does not reach anywhere. Though fine acting by Eva Green as Isabelle, Michael Pitt as Matthew and Louis Garrel as Theo. The background of 1968 Paris when the students took to streets works wonderfully and the passion for films amongst the young lead characters is interesting. The sex though filmed in length does look mild. So overall it is good viewing experience and certainly worth watching. 7 out of 10 from me
Miranda (1985)
typical Tinto Brass flick
Tinto Brass. The Italian Master of eroticism is at it again. Leading ladies with hairy armpits putting their assets on show for all who care to see and the camera work will be almost the same in all the movies that you actually know what will follow next. Mr. Brass is certainly fond of women's rears, hairy genitals and armpits, top heavy females and show all this from different angles thru mirrors and massage. The scenes and situations are so alike that it is safe to say that if you have seen one you have seem them all.
But at the same time, his choice of heroins is vary good and so far all the leading ladies had real bodies (no fake or silicone). He is also vary best at showing the nudity which can be called erotic and sensual. And the music in his films is also good. In Miranda the dance number played at the beach is quite good and I think the same number is tried again in his another movie as well. All in all you actually enjoy watching and he grips you with his camera work and entertain you fully.Because outside Brass the soft porn flicks made are hopeless. 7 out of 10 from me. go and enjoy on a weekend.
9 Songs (2004)
splendid
for some it may be pornography but for me it is the best erotic movie of all times, because pornography is totally faked but this is real and that too vary artistic.
If you wanna make an erotic adult movie this is the way to make it and if you wanna watch one this is where you should go. Absolutely sincere effort and totally focused, the film deals with the intense sexual affair picturised with great detail between both the lead characters and they were simply splendid in portreying there roles.
However the 9 live concert songs should have been more better. Anyway i will give 7-8 points out of 10 to this one.
Bolero (1984)
Certainly for Bo's fans
I have read quite a few reviews and almost everybody discarded it distastefully saying that it is one of the worst movies ever made. I agree that Bo is weak as far as acting is concerned but the film is OK guys. You certainly get entertained.I think the issue of rating prior to its release was the main factor for all these reviews as majority of the audiences saw this film with predetermined expectations. They thought the film would be a hardcore film but actually it is not. It is a plain drama in which the director conveys the importance of finding the correct partner.
as far Bo is concerned, forget about her acting but she is breathtaking with clothes as well without them.
I enjoyed it certainly and most of you should if you watch it as a drama and not as a XXX film
The Specialist (1994)
James Wood is outstanding
Full of entertainment. Nicely paced with minimum of dialogues and full of action. The muscles of Sly and beauty of Stone work well. But for me James Wood is simply superb and somewhat stole the show with witty performance.
Sly is as usual as is Sharon Stone, however Eric Roberts did justice to his role. Plot was almost non existent but you don't need it in such a fast movie. And yes, don't miss the opening shot of Sly and Wood. It is vary good
The fight scene in the bus with Sly saying "I hate knives" was a good piece of direction. Don't miss it just sit back and enjoy. You might want to see it one more time, maybe.
