May I Kill U? (2012)
I would most certainly recommend.
I found this film to be quite a surprise in that I found it somewhat hard to identify the genre: I concluded that this was mainly due to it following a number of strands that combined comedy, horror and notion of drama that together provided a caricature of London's finest that may shock but will also certainly attract. It was a most original concept that was well written, well directed and well made. The lead character's strange tastes were matched by the strange relationship he 'enjoyed' with his with his mother. His notion of service in which he pursues his own agenda was quite hilarious. Suffice to say this appeared to be driven by a rather overwhelming personality disorder that verged on the psychotic. It was certainly off-beat but also highly entertaining, sometimes shocking and came with the raw-edge grittiness that British films often excel at. In fact it is fair to say that this is an example of Indie Cinema at its best and I would certainly recommend it.

Great Film Noir & Great Indie: One to watch!
Being a bit of a fan of the film noir genre with a comedy twist I was intrigued to come across this movie. OK, it has received what one may say could be more than it's fair share of awards, but does that really mean it is any good? I was pleasantly surprised to find that this one was a real gem with the all the stylishness, sexual connotation and cynical expression that the genre requires. Yes the acting was good and the quality otherwise was good, however, this went that bit further. It was really funny and engaged me from the outset. It was one of those films that makes the clock go unnaturally fast (not that I was checking it mind). One aspect that impressed me was that this was a brave creation and a challenge to the 'lets pander to the current trend' big studio type of output. It epitomised what independent film is about: Originality, creativity and risk-taking. I think it has found a nice and I hope that it gets the exposure that it so rightly deserves.
Delivered (2011)
A well paced & well made action film
This is one of those films that rises to the occasion when you want an action-packed, tense piece of escapism – well paced and with a story-line that engages from start to end. One thing I was surprised with was that it was from an independent film-maker. When watching it I thought I was watching a film with far more resources that those that an independent film-making typically has to rely on. This high production value presence was fitting with the other markers that I would tend to use when judging whether a film is worth watching I was not surprised to see some of the other grudging reviews with low ratings as just about every film on IMDb attracts a bunch of these. I actually wonder if trolls read the description of a film before choosing it since they obviously did not seem much good at choosing what to watch (if they really watch it) or whether hating everything in the universe is their fun little hobby. I suspect both!
Nipples & Palm Trees (2012)
Highly Entertaining, funny & escapsist
I was not sure what to expect when I started to watch this independently made movie. I know from past experience that it is best not to prejudge and to 'tune in' to the experience that the film-maker is trying to create. I was pleasantly surprised as this one exceeded my expectations. This is a quite candid expression of a montage of relationships honestly constructed with multiple social connections that tell an entertaining story in a fascinating a clever manner. It was intriguing, really amusing and in my view takes the audience on a splendid journey, the perfect escape from a cloudy day. It certainly catered for the escapist in me and presents life of its characters in a colourful and insightful way. It is a really original piece of work and justifiably earns its stars.
