Constantine: A Whole World Out There (2015)
Lily Lives!
While it may not be the best show, it is very important to me. Plus, Lily lives in this episode. Also, Professor Richie Simpson says, you cannot achieve success without certain TRUTHS and that is valuable lesson that other people will have to learn, even if they suffer for it.
I think this is the BEST episode of the entire series and wish they had more shows like this on TV.
I am running out of things to say so I guess I have to write in some filler stuff and I am truly very sorry for any spoilers that I have written, but you probably should have watched the show before reading the reviews. BYE.
Gojira -1.0 (2023)
BEST GODZILLA MOVIE EVER!!!!!
(& only a $15 Million Dollar Budget)
I watched the Japanese film "GOZILLA MINUS ONE". It definitely deserved to win an Oscar/Academy Award Winner for Best Visual Effects.
I heard it was Based on a True Story! (LOL)
Besides the film's top special effects, the way they tied-in Japan's history of WWII with Godzilla makes this film a good as it can get! It was the perfect combination, like chocolate & peanut butter or P. B. & J!
It's so much better than any of those old, bogus looking Godzillas along with a WWII storyline!
On the one-hand, it had the horrifying realities of tragedies & war with PTSD, poverty, pain & suffering. On the other hand, it was abundant rich with the most modern special effects!
Red Notice (2021)
Fun, Funny Film starring 3 Super Star Actors/Actress
This movie is not for everyone as it has it's slapstick moments & outlandish acts, but that is exactly what I like. The movie is silly, crazy & funny with lots of twists & turns including 3 Hall of Fame Actors/Actress. It's probably the best movie I've seen in 2021.
Twister (1996)
My Opinion
The first half was mediocre at best, the second half was much better. Still, "reality" became more like "movie screen reality" when proximity to the tornado is pushed to the limit. Lastly, they did a tremendous job with special effects.
Vacation (2015)
Underrated Movie & Very, Very Funny!
6.1 Rating?
This is as good as the National Lampoon's Vacation!
Plus Special Guests:
Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead - Daryl Dixon)
Chris Hemsworth (The Avengers - Thor)
Ron Livingston (Band of Brothers - Lewis Nixon)
Dredd (2012)
Judge Dredd - An Action-Packed Crime Fighting Film
The two stars, Karl Urban (Judge Dredd) & Lena Headey (HBO's Game of Thrones) were fantastic, but the best acting was by an underdog, Olivia Thrilby (Anderson).
Judge Dredd Quote, "Judge, Jury & Executioner"
Judge Dredd Quote, "I am the Law"
Grimm: The End (2017)
GRIMM - Spin-off show in the works
They should 'continue' the GRIMM story with actress, Nicole Steinwedell (Adult Diana) & Kevin Joy (Adult Kelly) as the two main characters. They concluded the original Grimm and know all about the "Trailer'.
Then, old cast members like Nick Burkhardt, Trubul, Bud, Rosalee, Monroe, Claire, etc... can all make guest appearances knowing that their roots are still there.
Quick Draw (2013)
Hilarious 1875 Western (Kansas) Comedy
This is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen in my entire life! (I was literally bursting out with laughter several times each & every episode),
This hilarious 1875 Western (Kansas) comedy also has a good/solid narrative underneath all the slap-stick, raw humor as well as talented actors & actresses.
While it does not have a content rating, I would say 17+ years of age is a safe bet.
Travelers (2016)
When is Travelers' Season #3 coming?
This was one of the Top 10 shows on Netflix and a favorite of mine.
Please renew the show for season #3.
Jupiter Ascending (2015)
If Wayne Gretzky could skate in space/on air
Channing Tatum did his job well & Mila Kunis was pretty good as well. Unfortunately, the supporting cast of characters & aliens were a bit below par. The movie was not bad, it was just really hard to believe in certain scenes. If I had to guess, it seemed like most, if not all, of the budget went towards special effects.
I could try & explain it, but it would be easier to just show some raw, opinionated numbers instead. The Plot would be like a(4/10) & Special Effects would be a (9.5/10). Overall, I would say it was a (6/10). The movie really had potential to be Top 10 feature film, but ended up being a Sci-Fi film with a savant syndrome.
I did not see this movie on a big screen, rather, I streamed it on my laptop, so my viewpoint may be a bit biased, but I tried to be fair & honest with my review.
Stargate: Atlantis (2004)
Couldn't make it past a few episodes
After watching all of SG1's episodes, I tried to take a look at Atlantis. Needless to say, I was let down & drowned in disappointment. Stargate Universe actually somewhat continues where SG1 stopped in Season 10. I would skip this show, but that may be just me. The only person who is bearable is Dr. Elizabeth Wier. I don't know how this show became so popular. I guess it was because SGU was not readily available at the time & SG fans needed something. I really don't need 10 lines to describe how bad this program actually was in my opinion, but I wanted to warn any other prospective viewers that the acting is night & day compared to SG1.
Space Cowboys (2000)
Truly a top ten movie in my collection.
I am really impressed with the entire movie from start-to-finish. I love the personal grudges carried on throughout the years because it had a sense of realness to it. One thing that seemed exaggerated was the work-out on the bench press. I'm not sure two old geezers could lift up 225 lbs multiple times (one time - possibly/several reps - not likely), but maybe I'm wrong.
This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. With four famous all-star actors, this truly is a top-ten movie in my collection. I'm lost with words for the ending scene, but it was not bad at all. Actually, I could have not have imagined a better one.
The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008)
Overall, the acting is good & the effects are great
I would think that this movie should have authenticated the US Chain-of-Command a bit better. There are valuable lessons to be learned from this movie about who we are as a human race. Keanu Reeves & Jennifer Connelly played their part very well, but I would expect that from a very famous actor & actress. Kathy Bates annoyed the heck out of me, but that is not from bad acting, rather that seemed to be her role in the movie. She has been a super-star in other films. I think Jaden Smith will be a great actor if he continues to develop and hone his skill in the film industry, but I am not sure this was the best fit for this type of movie. I am probably being over analytical, so I gave it a good 8-out-of-10.
