Vikram (2022)
A movie for masses and cinema buffs.
The theatrical experience was something to behold with this masterfully created movie but I was welcomed with such a great casting and storyline that almost 3 hour runtime felt like few minutes.
Such complex storyline, deep rooted characters, eargasmic soundtrack and massy action scenes are enough to hold you in your seats.
All three leads are perfect, also the surprise one at the end.
Lokesh Kangaraj has done the impossible and truly made one if not the best Indian movies after Gangs of Wasseypur.
The Batman (2022)
The perfect superhero movie after TDK!!
I wouldn't even imply that this is a must watch movie for any superhero movie fan, because it's definitely not.
You need to have a deep connection with feature film history to fully appreciate this cinematic opus.
First off the direction is to the tee, perfectly matches up with the detective noirs of yester years, at least for the first half.
Second half is basically an action movie at heart but works out beautifully around the antagonist's story line.
The best use of sound design in a superhero movie, hands down. Just prepare to get your mind blown when the titular character's vehicle is introduced. 😳
The cinematography needs a category of its own, making Gotham look like a decrepit run down utopia was a tough task but it was achieved effortlessly.
The main leads performances are just chef's kiss.
Especially my dude, Pattinson. He carries the Cape crusader's torment in his soul. Perfect casting after Ledger's joker imho.
All in all, a perfect mix of crime/noir/action/thriller.
10/10 will watch again👍👍
👏👏
The Morning Show (2019)
A boring story with less than medicore performances.
Whole show is just meh.
Not much chemistry between characters.
Over the top dialogue delivery with very little emotions in between.
I wish they could improve the story then maybe it would've worked.
Disappointed just watching first season. Can't bother to watch the follow up.
Velle (2021)
Don't bother!!
Overacting galore from the newcomers.
Obnoxious and loud soundtrack.
Poor and underdeveloped script.
Abhay Deol should choose films more carefully.
Aquaman (2018)
Jason momoa is only thing good in this bad fish film
I like actors with character and integrity, and the mermaid has none.
Phatichar (1991)
I am utterly surprised at the level of originality from this TV series.
Fourth wall breaking, top class satire, original content from the 90s Doordarshan national network.
This series is an absolute underrated gem.
Pankaj Kapur's thespian background shines in this satirical masterpiece.
A must watch for anyone who likes original content from Indian sub continent.
Tumbbad (2018)
Perfect blend of psychological and part body horror
Why this movie wasn't a commercial success baffles me to this day..
I've postponed seeing this for so long.
I tried to watch it in theaters but local shows were off the theaters within a week and I lost the golden opportunity.
Luckily I finished this just now on Amazon Prime.
After that, I can easily say that this horror movie tops every other Original and beautiful movie produced by India from last decade.
Best Bollywood horror movie till date.
Two favorite sub genre of horror explored in this
Body/psychological horror.
I highly recommend this movie.👌
Go watch it right now🙏
Amravati Ki Kathayein (1994)
A great depiction of rural India with amazing performances!!
Apart from Malgudi days this is the best tv show produced for indian television imo.
The setup, short stories and the acting. Each and every episode is a gold mine of great actors and heart touching stories.
I implore you to watch this series once in your lifetime to truly appreciate this amazing TV series.
The Age of Spin: Dave Chappelle Live at the Hollywood Palladium (2017)
Dave is back, with a bang!!
Mr. Dave Chappelle is back with an amazingly crafted crock-pot of Stand-up routine nirvana. This was one of the funniest stand-up specials I've seen, and as a Non-American I got all the jokes and laughed through most of it which is really rare, as most American comedians don't connect to foreign audiences with their local anecdotes and satires. I can safely say there no other funnier comedian working in the biz today that can hypnotize the crowd with his/her comedic timing like Mr. Chappelle..
And, remember kids: RAPE & SAVE!
Brick (2005)
I didn't believed what i just saw...
This movie has to be most realistic portray of crime-noir genre based in modern times. Never for once i thought it was an over-acted trashy high-school crime thriller 'cause the director knew what he was making when he put all wise-ass drug slang & most amazing kid-like villain i have seen in like ever!! It was amazing to see drama queen acting like big-shot actress, a junkie girl who is not sure who she loves, a partner of our hero with IQ of a dolphin & of course, the revengeful hero who will not stop at anything from getting his revenge on the high-rollers of high-school drug scene. Just see this movie for what it is- "A crime-noir based on titular gangster wannabes high-school kids who at most part succeed in it"
Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (2005)
Never eat at a roadside eatery, said Anthony never!!!
You know why this is the best travel show on TV ever? Well, maybe 'cause it literally doesn't follow any other rules in guidebook which makes all of the travel shows seem fancy..
I am not saying gourmet food is bad or traveling in a schedule is bad. But, Anthony Bourdain truly shows the audience how to enjoy each & every aspect of the place you visit.
While nearly covering every inch of the globe during the show's telecast this is one of a kind traveling show you don;t wanna miss if you are a foodie, traveler or just looking for some relaxing entertainment on your TV set after a long day at work with a cold beer in hand (just keep the local restaurant on speed dial)..
Summary:- Best fu**ing travel show in TV history & Bourdain is da man..
