Hocus Pocus 2 (2022)
Fun, but not as fun as the original
I'll try my best to not spoil it...
It was a fun film, has nothing on the original sadly.
Referring to the 1993 movie with someone in the film watching the original! How's that possible!
I feel they tried too hard here at times
Some of the jokes just over the top
As much as the sets looked good, they also looked fake
I feel kids will like it but the long time fans will enjoy it just not love it as much as the original
Lots of links to the first and hooks to match them up, but 3 key people missing with no real mention yet the evens were.
As I said it's fun, very "camp" can I say that?
I didn't have much hope for it and I was right for that, I also predicted the store for the main character
Also, the story of where Book came from was changed for this film
Will I watch it again, yeah of course and in time it more than likely might become a classic no brain power needed movie.
But the original will never be beaten that's for sure.
Disney just don't do a Ghostbuster on us now... I feel that could happen
As as for the 2 cut scenes.
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
The Sequel we've waited for!
This was a long time to wait. But what a wait it was! Yet also felt it was only a short time after the first. Same feel same look at times. A wonderful follow on. A true sequel!
9 star as the one little act felt a bit over the top, a little "mission impossible" but still a wow from me!
Moonfall (2022)
Easy watch like most "end of the world movies"
Okay so let's just ignore basic physics (ones we know and some that have been suggested as way out there!)
Basic thinking
Basic anything!
So many many errors in the film!
It's a very easy watch, I was laughing more than anything.
Acting is better from the preschool plays I've seen for the most part
Gravity continuity! If a large truck can be picked up then definitely a small car can!
Phones won't work if there's no power, let alone no satellites due to moon being that close!
Hey, at least a computer virus wasn't used.... Well it kinda was a computer program in the end, from a certain point of view
Hey it's worth a watch just to pick it apart and laugh if nothing else.
Bel-Air (2022)
"Modern time reboot"
Don't go in thinking it will be the same at all. Don't go in thinking it's going to be funny. It's not a comedy like the original at all.
It's a darker tail, set more in the real world for today. Clearly showing the split in every way. It also paints most in a bad light.
First 3 episodes down, can see where it's going from episode 1. It really does look like it's still going there.
In parts it's been done well moving it to the times today, but also set in the past and that's a bad move.
I get it can't replace the original at all.
Think it's going to be very mixed reviews until it settles in more.
Happy to leave my watching there, I'm not hooked, but I might give it another go or two.
Home Sweet Home Alone (2021)
Awful, just awful
How can they even put Home Alone and this is the same planet!
I don't know where to start.
Poor title, even worse acting. If you can call it acting. They felt like they were all in pain reading of cue cards. Not sure if it was the actors or the script.
Just couldn't do it at all.
Turned it off, no McDonald's for any of them I say!
