Day 5 (2016)
Loved it! Really sad it's discontinued
I saw this featured on Tubi so I gave it a shot. I landed up binging both seasons in 3 days. Afterwards I went to look up season 3 and unfortunately I found out it's on indefinite hiatus. That's so disappointing because it's such a refreshingly good series. Yes you have to suspend your belief a bit, but otherwise it's funny, heartwarming, tragic, and intriguing. Great acting, great characters. At least season two wasn't left on too dramatic of a cliffhanger, it just closes one door and opens another.
Here's hoping this series will resume one day :)
Butterfly Kisses (2018)
not your average found footage movie
I liked it! It's not just a basic found footage style movie. There's many layers to it that keep it interesting. I noticed some other reviews saying the name 'butterfly kisses' and the 'blinkman' concept were ridiculous, but I think they might have been the point?
The Lost Vlog of Ruby Real (2020)
I liked it
I can understand why some people might not like it, but as a found footage fan I enjoyed it. The acting was okay (minus the male lead- he sounded like he was just reading lines at times). It definitely seems like a student film.
If you're into movies like the Blair Witch give it a chance. It's only an hour long.
They're Inside (2019)
corny, bad
The most stereotypical, boring, unoriginal villians. And a note to all filmmakers: TILTING YOUR HEAD TO THE SIDE WHILE WEARING A MASK IS NOT SCARY.
Unknown Visitor (2019)
uh. you might laugh a few times?
Super low budget, bad acting, not scary (I think I jumped once!), odd story... I liked the idea though!
Lake Mungo (2008)
Left me with a genuine sense of dread
At this point I'm pretty desensitized to horror / scary movies, so I was pleasantly suprised when this gave me that creepy feeling I haven't felt in a long time. It sticks with you for awhile. If you're not into Mockumentary style movies then you may find it boring, but it's right up my alley. Loved it!
14 Cameras (2018)
Terrible, cartoonish villain
I gave it a 2 because it wasn't so bad that I turned it off. The landlord is a sweaty, ugly, lumpy, mouth breathing weirdo that was so over the top it removed any scare factor. He was a cartoon. Having him look more 'normal' would make this more believable and creepy, instead I was just focused on how ridiculous he looked. And why didn't anyone just try pushing him over? He could barely walk. Awful.
