The Walking Dead: What We Become (2020)
Seriously?
Michonne doesn't deserve her own episode dedicated to her?! She just gets to piggyback on a filler? Total crap.
Fat Ass Zombies (2020)
We give it 10!
We weren't expecting much. We figured, cheesy, low-budge, zombie flick. But it's surprisingly entertaining! They're not "trying too hard". It's just fun and stupid and the acting ain't half bad. Lol! Give it a shot. For real.
Marc Maron: End Times Fun (2020)
Well...
We could pretty much see his personality in Glow. We like his self-deprecating type of character because it goes well with the premise and all. But to know that, and still try to watch his new standup, we knew what we were in for. But seriously? Get over it. Trump was elected and for you to get a small venue full of people applaud you for saying he's the worst person of anything, ever, only to placate your own views and get said roomful of liberals to laugh and applaud is just sad. We shut it off after a few minutes because we're so. sick. of. it.
Daybreak (2019)
Little Sammy Winchester...
...is in love with Sam Dean. Made me chuckle. It's fun and quirky. Nice change from the normal show. And lots of little Easter eggs like Supernatural and more Ferris.
Goliath: Argus 2: Battledome (2019)
Mildly entertaining
Did David Lynch write this entire season? Totally Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks. Even the music. I mean, with that in mind, we're trying to watch the whole season but it's just weird.
Riverdale: Chapter Forty-One: Manhunter (2018)
Scream homage!
Wonderful with all the Scream homage scenes! FP Jones (played by Skeet Ulrich) coming through the bedroom window just like Billy Loomis (also played by Skeet!!) Was awesome!
Dexter (2006)
Would've Been 10 Stars
I would've given Dex 10 stars but the final season (8) seemed rushed and thrown together. The final episode left a lot to be desired, too. But up until that point, I was giving it 10 all the way. Sorry Dex. Also, in the beginning, Michael (Dex) and Jennifer (Deb) weren't married. There were no tell-tale signs that the relationship changed between the off-camera couple around the 2nd season, which was great. The writers handled it very well. But then when they divorced around season 6, it seemed that (even though they claim it was amicable) you could tell on set. It was strange. Palpable even that Jennifer seemed a little scornful. All-in-all, great show, just little things caused me to give 8 stars. I read that MCH wasn't happy with his salary toward the end, too...so that could be why they wrapped it up so fast in season 8.
The 5th Quarter (2010)
Good Movie
I know that some people think that this is not a sports movie and that it used the "guise" of sports to promote a "Christian" theme. Well, the thing is, Christianity, in reality is just like this stuff in the movie. Sometimes we hurt. We're human. This movie takes you through the true- life situation of a Christian family who lost their son in tragedy. Their faith in Jesus is all that sustains them. The mechanism in this family's, or this brother's, case is football. It's not about the sport. It's about the family and their faith in Christ. People always try to down-play our faith and hope and demean them in any way they can. But for those of us who have a real faith in Christ, we know these are just the trying times and there is life after death. Not just the way we get by after an untimely (or ANY) death, and how to get on with life, but the way we know in our heart of hearts, there is life after death. There is eternal life...somewhere. Where will YOU be when that day comes for you? There is only the side of truth in Christ or the alternative, life in eternal pain and turmoil, that is, hell. I chose life in Jesus. I pray you will, too.
Warm Bodies (2013)
R by any other name...
Okay. Just finished Warm Bodies. It wasn't until the balcony scene that we really put it together. And even all the scenes before actually got WAY better in our minds immediately. So, Julie (Juliet), R (Romeo), and his best friend, M (Mercutio). We get it. That actually made it better because at first, we weren't lovin' it. But now, I can give it at least 3 stars and even 4 for that connection and the performances of ALL (did I mention John Malkovich???). So a good, solid 4 for Netflix and 7 or 8 on IMDb. Too much time on my hands? Well, yes, but so what? AND THE SOUNDTRACK, ROCKED 80s - Cory Hart, GnR, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan and some Indie stuff. Just watch it already.
