Another Failed Attempt To Make People Think Ben Affleck Is Star
They used Ben Affleck in a lot of movies to increase his popularity. They put him on Pearl Harbor for some national touches, they made him appear on Gone Girl which was a best seller book before the movie, they even matched him up with Jennifer Lopez in real life once. And now this..a new Batman movie under the shadow of Christian Bale's great acting in Christopher Nolan's beautiful trilogy.
It's not just working guys! We just don't like Ben's appearances. He just can not act. So please leave us alone!
About the movie.. It is a little better than terrible. What saves it from being terrible is visual effects, none of which you are going to remember later.
12 Years a Slave (2013)
Enough is Enough
This is another version of the movie Pianist. Black man instead of Jewish man, and violin instead of piano. In Pianist, the guy was just hiding through out the movie; in 12 Years Slave, the guy is just waiting for help instead. He waits and does whatever he is told to. He is taking no action, no fight for freedom and more than anything..no helping anyone.
I really forced myself to watch the rest of the movie after the first 20-25 minutes. All of the scenes were unsurprising. Giving the Best Picture Oscar to this movie is like giving Peace Nobel to Bush. I think Hollywood will never give up awarding white-slave and Nazi-Jew movies. I wander if they will ever make Jew-Palestinian movie and award it!
I have to admit one thing though: The end was very touching. I couldn't hold my tears. But it had to belong to another movie.

Riisa making difference
It is interesting to see this title got less points than its prequel. It should have been the opposite.
First movie was not very Miike-like. It looked just a movie for children. However, the second title was very different, and it was very Miike-like. You don't need to watch the first one and don't do so if you don't have time to waste. But watching Zebraman 2 is really fun.
Now, the reason I wanted to write a few things about this movie was Riisa Naka. There are a few roles that fit perfectly to its actor or actress. Or shall we say, there are few players who can carry a role perfectly and after watching, you can not think of anyone else acting that role. Riisa, playing Zebra Queen is one of those. Just like Brando as Godfather, Hopkins as Hannibal.
Zebraman 2 can not be compared with these movies definitely. No way! You will not even miss anything by not watching this movie at all. However, you will be sorry to miss Riisa in her Zebra Queen role. Watch the movie and you will be disappointed if you are a Miike fan, but you will become a Riisa-fan.
Cheonnyeonhak (2007)
'beautiful' movie
This is a beautiful movie. The beautiful cinematography makes you desire to visit Korea. And the musics makes you want to know more about Korean music and culture.
These are all the decorations of this great movie.
The story of people and the love of them is so pure. They preserve their love even when they are apart and keep their love unchanged while the world changes.
This is a love story begins from childhood to the very end and the name of the film suit it perfectly.
Sit back, take a deep breath, and enjoy.
Daisy Diamond (2007)

There has been a lot of movies based on a girl who escapes home to become an actress and ends up in a desperate situation. Most of them are in a social mood of giving young girls and the families a lesson. However, this film is not something a young girl could watch. The sex scenes are exaggerated too much and the depression level of the film is too high. You can find almost everything in this 'drama' that you can find in a pornographic movie. And you can even learn new sexual terms.
By watching this movie, instead of blaming the life for being so cruel or getting the point of which way to follow in life or teach yourself how to raise your child you just watch the exaggerated scenes and try to receive something out of them. Not a bad movie in general but a little out of the track.
Miryang (2007)
very good and even better acting
I've waited to see this movie for a long time and at last I could manage to see it in Istanbul Film Festival. Maybe because I expected too much from this film and that's why i was slightly disappointed. I was not the best movie from Korea but still it is really worth watching.
The subject was nice and the film makes you keep watching without getting bored though it is long. But there are gaps in the movie and you jump from one point to another. However, the acting of Jeon Do-Yeon is incredibly beautiful. It was was one of the best performances in the early cinema history and I think this movie wouldn't be that nice if she was not in the leading role.
