Armchair Thriller: A Dog's Ransom: Part 1 (1978)
Great to see again!!!
I have very early memories of A Dog's Ransom and recall it was one of the best Armchair Thrillers.
I remember all the frustration when the couple was trying to go along with the ransom and the dog was already dead. Tina, the much loved white poodle, was floating in the river.
Its great to see the older programmes as they have a twist at the end. It was certainly a good ending for some anyway!
I have just watched it, and its as good today as almost 30 years ago! If anyone has any other Armchair Thrillers, I would love to see them!
Out of This World (1987)
Great to watch again!
Usually with 80`s programmes there very dated and not seem as funny as they were. Its better than Sabrina the Teenage Witch - even my son thinks so! Ok, Evie has to rely on her Alien Dad Troy for most powers - but she can freeze time! Who wouldnt want to do that???
I watched Out of this World only just now and its as funny now as it always was. My children love it too - especially the theme tune! Whats even more mazing is that I think I had Evie Garland`s wardrobe! I had practically all of Evie`s clothes in the 80`s - not that fit me now - ahem! lol.
I have about 70 episodes and would love to find the remaining ones if anyone could help? Cant wait to have all 96!!!
So Haunt Me (1992)
i have complete set
Hi,
I have the complete set of So Haunt Me and think its still a great comedy after all these years.
A family moved in to a house which they later found out was haunted by a Jewish ghost called Yetta Fieldman.
Yetta died when she choked on a chicken bone whilst eating chicken soup! She will only leave if they find her daughter, Carole.
Only the mother can see her and the dad hears her eventually. The son thinks of her as a friend. The daughter is always on the phone and finds it annoying that everyone keeps talking about the ghost.
Its a good comedy, well worth watching!

Mr. Merlin (1981)
Great U.S. Comedy!!!
I think Mr Merlin`s great even if its just to gaze into Zach`s big blue eyes!!! There seems to be a moral to each of the episodes. I loved watching it as a child and now that I have most of the episodes, my children also love watching it! Better than Sabrina! Its nice to have a handsome wizard for the ladies!!!
Sorry! (1981)
Wonderful to see it again!
Sorry! was one of the best comedies of the 80`s! I dont think a lot of 41 year old men could play Timothy Lumsden as well as Ronnie Corbett! Just when you think Timothy is finally getting away from his mother...she`s there! The best thing is that Barbara Lott who played Timothy`s Mother was trying so hard to stop laughing in some episodes!!! Usually 80`s comedies wear a little thin now. I only watched Sorry! today and I was in fits of laughter! I now have the complete set of Sorry! and now my children love it as much as me!!!
