Rite Here Rite Now (2024)
Mind blown!
I tricked my wife into going to see this gem with me when we saw it at Alamo, but it was worth the vodka with Sprite that I got her. Secretly, I think she liked it, but won't admit it. If you didn't catch them on tour, this film will give you the next best thing. Tobias Forge is a genius and just knows how to draw you in and captivate the audience. I can't speak for someone who is a casual fan of Ghost because I'm already a total fanatic, but hopefully this film will turn casual fans into disciples of the Clergy. Even though the majority of the film is concert footage, Forge figures out how to weave in an entertaining story line. I hope it goes to video soon to appeal to a wider audience. I'm grateful that I saw it in the theater.
The Underdoggs (2024)
Fun for the whole family
How did this movie get snubbed by the Oscars? It has everything you could ever want out of a family comedy. Snoop was amazing. His acting is on point. You'll laugh and you'll cry. Your kids will ask you to play it for them over and over again and again. American Fiction for Best Picture? They should've called it American Suction for sucking money out of our piggy banks. The Underdoggs is a heartwarming triumph. George Lopez should have been nominated for best supporting actor. He put his heart and soul into this gem. Oppenheimer? More like Bidentimer. I felt old and confused after that snoozefest. Snoop for Prez in 2024.
