Primo amore (1978)
A great film about aging
I found this film one of the saddest ones which I've ever seen. Dino Risi is a brilliant director and made a great film which shows the aging. Ugo Tognazzi plays the actor who feels too young to be in an "old actor's house". He just can't stand the rules and the other old people so he escape with a young girl. The sad part comes from here because the girl wants her freedom, doesn't love the man and cheats him with other guys. In fact she never told the man that she loved him.
!!SPOILER!! In the end the man leaves and at the station he meets another man, a former actor. They ask each other where they go, they say something (to their son and to Rome) and they say goodbye. In the last scene they are going on the same road, saying hello to each other and they turn down from the road...to the old actors house. END OF SPOILER!!
I found the film fantastically directed and very life-like. A must-see!!!

Butaságom története-The story of my dumbness
Kati Kabok (Ruttkai), tough she wanted to be an actress, got married to her ex-teacher (Básti), who didn't find her talented enough but much prettier. She becomes a simple house-wife next to her famous husband.Everyone think that she is just a pretty dumb chic.
One day a friend of Kati's writes a play especially for her which tells the story of their marriage. Her husband doesn't take it serious but when he see her in the theater he completely get confused...
The film is one of Eva Ruttkai's masterpieces with charming humour, great actors and lovely music.
Murder on the Orient Express (1974)
Albert Finney as Poirot first and last -fortunately
As the first rhytms of the music started the furs on my back stood up it was so fantastic. But when I saw Albert Finney -the little funny man- they went down. The whole film was full of the créme of the actors and actresses but Poirot was the "black sheep'. At first sight he is funny but five minutes later he is very irritating. Lauren Bacall plays fantastically the American lady with her memoires about her second husband and Ingrid Bergman also the same charming with her part of the Swedish missionary with the little brown babies. Michael York and Sean Connery didn't give so much to the movie history and I can say the same about John Gielgud. The film was made very precisely because the Hungarian passport was a real passport and when the couple entered the train Pierre talked to them Hungarian. It was really good to hear. The ending of the film was a bit teatrical but at all it was really-really good. If you didn't see it, watch it!
Appointment with Death (1988)
An exciting all could done' story with many humor
Actually this was the last Agatha Christie movie that I saw so I compared with the others. The original story is not too exciting just the original all could done' story with many humor. But the place. The book is set in Jordania in the Petra which was mentioned once in the film but it was set in Jerusalem. It's a bit funny. So the book nearly has no connection with the film. Altought the movie is very enjoyable. Peter Ustinov gaves us a bit less of hes power but the others complete it. Piper Laurie gives us a perfect picture about the the evil-gently stepmother but alas, she had been killed. Lauren Bacall renewed her 18 older role greatly. (Orient express) and played the nasty Parliament-member greatly. From the others Hayley Mills and Sir John Gielgud are the only ones who are deserve to have a comment. They are quite good in their roles. The whole film was very good and all Agatha Christie fans have to watch it!
