The Slave and the Sorcerer (2024)
Great 80s style fun
If you are after low budget cheese with a fun soundtrack this is for you and absolutely fun blast of a film, also the VHS copy is well worth it. Great performances from the cast even a bit of homage too, which I am sure you will spot easily.
Hex studios has really grown from strength to strength since lord of tears, and this latest film is no different from that trend, special mention to lawrie Brewster who is also in the film for short but very memorable appearances. So get yourself a copy grab some snacks turn of the lights and delve into the magical fantasy horror of the slave and the sorcerer.
The Vance Institute (2023)
dark and gripping
Have been a long time enjoyer of Lawrie Brewster directed films and this is his darkest yet, familiar locations and some thowback soundtrack music that makes me want to watch past films. The cast does an excellent job big shout out to jamie scott gordon who is always excellent his constant air of tention is a joy to watch, the black and whilte was not expected but it works realy well the shadow work in the bedrooms is fantastic, even though im a hex media fanboy i will of course be honest the only let down being that it is somewhat predictable but frankly im nitpicking. Im short on words according to IMDB
Im Bruce and i approve this message.
