Premutos - Der gefallene Engel (1997)
I had no clue Van Damme was in this movie?
This movie is just a roller coaster you never knew you needed in a movie. From the baffling strange scenes to the hilarious voice overs This movie is more enjoyable than expected when you don't take it too seriously.
The Elevator (2021)
The Title is a Spoiler
Literally just a guy stuck in an elevator. I fail to see where it would be award winning or the star studded cast other than Eric Roberts way past his prime.
I will give credit where it is due. This is more dialogue and acting than I have seen Eric Roberts do in some time.
Other than that I still question how you almost die after being stuck in an elevator for a half a day with nothing else happening.
The Box in the Basement (2021)
I'll go ahead and spoil this.
I found this film to be completely uninspiring. Very slow and not really much happening anywhere. The first half is mostly foreshadowing and a girl being sad about what happens before the movie even starts. Granted she has every reason to be sad as her parents are as well. It's not hard to tell what happened or why she is sad once you start watching.
Suddenly her parents go away for a weekend, during which she talks to a waiter at a restaurant and is instantly happy. Her parents return and are happy as well like the tragic event before the movie never happened. Then as if by magic she is no longer bullied and everyone is getting along great.
Spoiler! There is no box. There is most certainly a basement with what looks like a tesseract where she is magically transported somewhere, possibly an alternate universe, and she come face to face, in a sense, with another version of herself who tranforms into the main antagonist. The scene really doesn't make much sense but most the movie does not.
Woman in the Woods (2020)
Um, what???
The plot for this movie should read:
Ignore everything on the cover. It's a lie.
When Jason's father dies he makes a homage to his father's homeland of the Phillipines. After eating the same mushrooms his father must have eaten before telling him all the myths of his homeland, Jason experiences the most interesting hallucinations taking him on a life changing journey where he cannot tell what is real and what is not.
Clowntergeist (2017)
Two Stars Because It Made Me Laugh
This movie cured my clown phobia.
I found this movie to be extremely predictable. It's like the writer searched online for horror movie clichés and used every single one of them in this movie.
