Doctor Who: The Christmas Invasion (2005)
"This new hand, it's a FIGHTING HAND"
And just like that, David Tennant was accepted as the Doctor.
He put so much soul into his role, the music is mesmerizing, the dialogue is iconic, everything is tense. I will miss him 🤧
Binsenjo (2021)
I'm glad this was one of my first K-drama
While it takes around 3-4 episodes, Vincenzo is undeniably an underrated series that gets overlooked due to the fact it's a K-drama. Although the medium has a reputation for having excessive amount of romance (from what I've heard), Vincenzo is nothing like that, the mild amount of romance does not affect the story in any way.
The first 4 episodes are slightly predictable, the rest of the show is a Rollercoaster that will keep you on the edge of the seat.
The main character of Vincenzo - Vincenzo Cassano is also really great. Well-written, charming and a straight up overpowered badass, he takes on multiple foes using his wit and experience as a mafia accompanied by a great cast of side characters who are equally as likeable.
The show touches on the subject of human greed and Vincenzo must deliver Justice while at the same time tries to grow into a more humble person despite his past life.
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Near perfect
What can I say about this film that hasn't already been said? The storytelling, music, visuals, characters, emotions, themes, literally everything has been carefully thought out and done exceptionally well.
My only problems with it -
Tommy just happens to know the guy who killed Andy's wife and that guy just happens confess everything to Tommy.
The fact that literally know one, not even the guards during Inspection bothered to flip a poster even once for 17 whole years.
Now You See Me (2013)
Mindblowing
This movie is an amazing and unpredictable magic trick that will keep you at the edge of your seat and guessing towards the very end.
Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
Monke vs Nuke Lizard
Visuals and fights are Mindblowing and that's about it. The human side of the story is purely filler that no one cares about and the whole journey to the center of the earth to find StormBreaker/Gidora taking over mecha Godzilla is very unoriginal. Best watch this movie only for the fights and you'll really enjoy it.
Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor (2013)
"Dear God, three of them"
Easily one of my favorite Doctor Who episodes. I really loved the interaction between 10, 11 and the War Doctor showing how the character has changed through each regeneration.
The last few minutes where the 12 of them- no sorry, 13 of them saving Gallifrey is so mindblowing and very unique because no other show can even copy such a thing.
It was also very satisfying seeing David Tennant and Tom Baker's performance one last time.
Isekai Chîto Majutsushi (2019)
Probably one of the worst Isekai out there
Badly written characters, terrible MC, boring villains. I did not like anyone in this show except for probably Anastasia because i thought she was cute and made this somewhat bearable, buuut they killed her off for no reason making me even more mad and gave the MC even more plot armor than before. Even the animation is so sloppy. Definitely would not recommend to anyone.
Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu (2021)
Isekai was meant to be beautiful
Season 1:
Mushoku Tensei is shaping up to be one of the best fantasy anime. Even though the plot is same as every other isekai (it got a late adaptation, this series popularized all the tropes in the first place), what sets it apart are the characters and the worldbuilding. Rudeus is a great protagonist that doesn't just become another Isekai harem God just cause he got hit by a truck, he is a flawed human who gets a second chance at life and tries to better himself like every other character in the show. I'd go as far as to say that Mushoku Tensei is the most logical of all isekai. Aside from all of that this show also excelles in animation, even the opening theme is a banger. All of this makes it a beautiful experience everyone who loves Fantasy should give a try. (If you can stomach some fanservice her and there)
Dororo (2019)
There's a reason why they remade this 50+ years later
A great journey about flawed human beings gaining things from Demons while trying to retain their humanity, taking place in the Sengoku Jidai era of Japan full of religious and political conflict.
The Lion King (1994)
One of the greatest animated movies Ever made
My favorite animated film of all time. The plot, characters, themes, music, emotions and tension are something else. It's truly a classic you will love as a kid and appreciate years later as an adult. A must watch.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
The end of an Era. Onto the next one.
This movie isn't perfect. But i feel like Endgame is actually pretty amazing because it has more characters than any other movie and somehow manages to give a conclusive ending to all of them along with 11 years of the Infinity saga. Ngl, My life was complete when I saw the Portals scene.
The Suicide Squad (2021)
The coolest DCEU superhero team
Somehow the characters in this movie are more likeable and memorable than 90% of every other DCEU character. Although a lot of the characters were killed without being utilized, there are some plot meh moments here and there, but it also has it's good moments. All the scenes is very dynamic and wack. I don't remember the last time I've enjoyed a superhero movie this much.
