Sniper Português 2 (2024)
Sniping action!
Rui Constantino brought us another of his action directed short movies! This time the second issue of Portuguese Sniper. It's a great action packed movie that pits Delmar against the russian Ice Sniper in the middle of the jungle.
Caleb did an awesome job, as always, and what to say about Constantino and Dias' partnership? Always a win! And what about señor Rueda? Fantastic add too the team!
Constanino Filmes and Last Road Studios are to be congratulated to have been able to pull this one off with all the millitary equipment used for the realism.
Great work everyone! Keep them coming and keep up the great job!
The Exterminator: Don Teschio's Revenge (2023)
Action packed payback
And Don Teschio's Revenge is finally here! And it packs a punch! Action filled from start to end!
The Exterminator continues to wipe out Don Teschio's operations and men until a new player is called into the field!
We finally have a debut of Skeleton (Esqueleto from the series 'A Última Presa' by Constantino as well) and he does what he is hired to do with a very big bang and panache!
Miguel D. Dias brings both Don Teschio and Skeleton to live in his very own way and it is amazing to watch him interact with himself!
Congrats to team Constantino and team Last Road Studios for yet another awesome film!
Jeepers Creepers O Regresso (2023)
Jeepers Creepers done right
And here we have another of Constantino's movies! This time it's Jeepers Creepers! He tackeled it just right, without the usual slasher mistakes we often see in other movies.
But he already has gotten us used to hard work and careful writting.
So we have Miguel D. Dias as Savage, the Creeper hunter leader, and he brings us another of his unique performances.
The Last Road Studios crew did yet another great job, so congrats to you guys.
It's another must watch for all Jeepers Creeper fans out there. Take a seat, sink in and get ready for a great time watching the origin of the Creeper and another 23 days hunt.
A Maldição Do Nevoeiro (2023)
The curse is alive!
The Fog... Davy Jones and the Flying Dutchman ghost story get together by the hand of Rui Constantino, that once again does not disapoint!
We've got CGI, reality and props to deliver us this short movie.
It has great coesion from start to finish - Simple, straight line that delivers a simple, but powerful story: modern crew finds an old artifact and his ghost keeper wants to reclaim, along woth his hord of ghostly monsters.
Miguel D. Dias gives life to Davy Jones with his unique way to perform and adds another vilain to his resumé, while the team form Last Road give life to the other ghosts awesomely.
So, this is a must watch short movie! You will not regret it.
Sexta-Feira 13 - A Vingança De Jason (2023)
Another great Constantino film!
And it's another Constantino film! Another short fan film! This time he tackled the Friday the 13th universe, more directly at the source and origin of Jason.
Another job well done right here! Constantino continues to show respect for the"parent" movies and builds his stories with care and attention to detail.
And of course it shows his love to the franchises he chooses to work with.
We also hae hisand Miguel D. Dias cameos at the beginning of the movie, so the final and more personal touch is given.
It is another great work from everyone involved, as always, so congrats for another great short movie! Let the next one come!
Sith Wars: Episódio II - O Legado dos Sith (2022)
The Sith are unleashed!
Wow! Just wow! Constantino outdid himself with this one! He made it better than the first one!
More sith, more battles, better voicing and more diverse cast.
We've got a new female mandalorian speaking in portuguese, an awesome portuguese yoda and many more improvements to the cast.
The visuals are so damn good! The Last Road Studios crew is making magic!
I can't wait for episode 3 will bring and to see the end of this Sith saga!
The Revan/Malak scenes are so good! They are my favourite Sith anyway so I'm a bit biased regarding these two.
Congrats to all the crew that made this a reality and made it awesome!
Halloween: O Legado (2022)
A true Halloween homage! A must see!
What a great Halloween this is! An amazing sequel to last year's Prodigal Son. Contantino outdid himself with this one.
Michael is a beast, a true killing machine out on a vengeance and nothing and no one can stop him.
We got do see David Loomis in action and the Mayor's bodyguards (the newest adds to Constantino Filmes team) in a great debut!
I felt this movie was stronger and more directed than the last one and with better acting and a better mix between action, suspense and terror.
A true homage to the Halloween franchise and true to it's ideal. A must see for all fans. Truelly made by fans to fans.
Congrats to all Constantino Filmes/Last Road Studios team for this amazing work!
A Última Presa (2021)
Esqueleto is king
It's good to finally see Esqueleto in action! Seen a few promos where he appears, but this is where he comes from! And now I get all his demeanure and shenanigans and all the bloodlust.
Most characters come from other Constantino Films works that we know, but Esqueleto is an all new ball park and Miguel D. Dias brings out all the crazy!
I want to see where the future leads this series and I want to see more of Esqueleto and his bloodthirsty crazyness because it's fun to watch!
Congratilations to Constantino Films for this cool episode and best wishes for many more to come, and soon, I hope.
The Exterminator: Retribution (2022)
The exterminator is back!
It's a violent movie from the first to the last minute! The son of the Exterminator takes his father's place and cleans house, or at least he tries.
Don Teschio gets his business and his grip on the city shaken in an amazing performance by Miguel D. Dias.
Pedro Pinecross delivers a great uncle Tom!
Rui Constantino gives us another great action, bloody and violent film that pays homage to another classic!
Congrats to all for another amazing work!
Death Bed Game (2022)
Death is just a game
My oh my! This movie proves that you don't need much to make a great movie!
Rui Constantino faces the movie, but that creepy evil voice behind dominates the movie... it grips and hold on to you.
You need neither gore nor big scenes of violence to have a great terror thriller.
Congrats fellas! You did it again!
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
A different Matrix
So yes, this Matrix is a different construct within the Matrix but it does not deserve all the heat it's getting.
So what if Smith is not Hugo Weaving and Morpheus is not Lawrence Fishburne...! I get why... Smith was not supposed th be the same and Morpheus was from the "game", so yeah...
It also gave more power to women, yes, it's a thing nowadays - get over it already...
It presented different premisses than the trilogy so it was supposed to be a different type of movie. I enjoyed it...
Lone Wolf McQuade (1983)
Norris is a legend
I grew up with this movie. It's a part of my childhood. If seen today, it lacks so much of the cinematics and the story has been done over and over, but this movie will always have a special place for me.
The action is Norris typical and it has David Carradine too, so yeah, it's packed with kicks and punches as expected...
Lone Wolf will forever be one of the best Norris action movie for me.
The Last Duel (2021)
Amazing
I watched this movie without knowing what it was really about. Damon, Driver, Affleck... that was enough just to watch it. And I'm glad I did... The story is strong and we sadly we still observe the same type of behaviour towards women today.
It's a must watch!
Sith Wars: Episódio I - O Regresso dos Sith (2021)
The Force is strong with this one
This movie is proof that much can be done with the Star Wars franchise.
An original story that gathers sith of the past and future in a battle against the rebels...
Rui Constantino brought us another great movie.
Congratilations to everyone involved in the making of this film... superb work.
Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
A worthy sequel
I was affraid this movie would flop hard in may ways, but it surpassed all my expectations.
The original Blade Runner's cinematics were, at it's time, an amazing feat, adding memorable performances by Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer and Sean Young, and with a masterfull score composed by Vangelis. I watched - and heard - a sequel that was on par with it's prequel... Denis Villeneuve gave us an amazing master piece of a movie.
Dune: Part One (2021)
Awesome
I had great expectations for this movie since I love Frank Herbert's work and David Lynch's adaptation. I loved every bit of it. Denis Villeneuve gave us a masterfull part 1 adaptation with amazing cinematics and performances.
Halloween: Filho Pródigo (2021)
Loomis vs Myers - the next generation
We are finaly introduced to David Loomis, as he take an head on revenge for the death of his father! Miguel D. Dias gave us a dark and driven David as he continues his father's work and hunts down Michael.
Both Steve Kyle and Pedro Pinecross gave us a more violent Michael as he slashes and hacks away at his victims!
A great hack and slash Halloween short movie! Another win for Rui Constantino's team!
Tubarão: O Regresso (2021)
The shark that shoke the waters
Well, this short movie was a surprise.
Once again the team that brought us The Thing Returns did it again!
The acting could have been a bit better on this one, but the potential is there nonetheless.
Constantino and his team brought Jaws to the portuguese shores and it was amazing, and we also get to see Shawn C. Philips making an appearence!
Once again I say haters gonna hate just out of spite, but these kind of productions should be supported because they take the portuguese (and american) banner out into the world!
Congrats to all that made this one a reality!
Watch this one, you are not going to regret it.
The Thing: O Regresso (2021)
A Thing not to hate
The plot follows the 1982 movie, wich was a smart move, making 'The Thing' a trilogy. It's not a masterpiece, true enough, but given the budget involved, it is better than many million dollar movies.
Haters gonna hate and all, but bearing in mind that it is partially made under very poor conditions, in comparison, the end result is very surprising. The acting is not bad - seen a lot worst in blockbusters.
This entire production shows effort, dedication and love to it's source and to the art itself, and it shows lots of guts by a bunch of portuguese amateur actors, along with an american crew.
For that alone it deserves praise, but alas, there will always be those who will try to destroy it out of spite... shame on you...
A huge congrats to all involved in making this movie a reality! Keep it up!
