Monsters (2022)
Mwah
Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story is the second season of the American biographical crime drama anthology television series Monster, created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan for Netflix. This season centers on the 1989 murders of José (Javier Bardem) and Kitty Menendez (Chloë Sevigny), who were killed by their sons, Lyle (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Erik (Cooper Koch).
A 9 for season 1, a 3 for season 2, so a 6. Weak story about the Menendez brothers. First episodes almost a comedy show, and then suddenly some serious notes. Complete episodes with interviews and rape details. For what reason? The point has been made. Just a poor attempt to shock the audience.
The Mole (2022)
Horrorible
I'm watching the Belgian and Dutch versions for decades now. Real, normal people, nice ganes, good explanation, likeable hosts. Despite my low expectations tried the American version last week. Horroble. Like I thougt, 10 annoying, brainless figures, a host who loves himself, over the top, hysterical behaviour and confusing games. "Oh my god!". Oh my goodness!". The whole episode long. I can't stand it. Most things America touches become too big, too loud, too fake, too much of everything really. And the looks seem to be more important than the game itself. You like The Mole? Skip this version.
Liebes Kind (2023)
Poor
Very promising start, but at the end completely illogical and rushed. With only 13 minutes to go I was wondering how all these remaining questions would be answered.
A huge amount of plot holes. The drawing of Matthias above Hannah's bed? A 12 year old child who murders a grown man with 1 hit? A kidnapping during daytime, in a busy parking garage with camera's? Jonathan who says completely nothing, and suddenly in episode 6 he is telling everything about his father? What was the point of killing Ruth?
And then the main character, 'detective' Gerd. Who decides to withhold critical information about the killer, and has a lack of social skills. Some orher characters contributed nothing to the story, or just were annoying. Laughable at some points.
Godfather of Harlem (2019)
Pretty good
Especially season 1 and 2 are nice to watch, despite of some annoying things. Perfect roles for Forest Whitaker Vincent D'Onofrio, and Giancarlo Esposito is always fun. Unfortunately, season 3 suddenly wanted to make the women more important, and because of that the story went in every crazy direction. Too bad. Some good actors and dialogues, but also too much religion and black/white racism for me. And the music did not match the 60's, a big mistake. Wondering what season 4 will bring to the table. From Malcolm X to Martin Luther King? Stella as the new boss, competing with her father? Who knows...
The Stranger (2020)
Uhhh...
A promising start, but ruined by the enormous plot holes and illogical events. Last episode is a complete failure.
An experienced detective who covers up a murder? A ridiculous motive for Tripp killing Corinne: money problems when you live in that house? Which motive has Katz for killing Heidi? How can his gun connect to all the murders, while he was in prison during the shooting of Tripp? No connection at all between these 2 guys. Killane's son Chris was suddenly a daughter? Why did she disappear after finally founding her brother and family? No drugs test for all the students after the party?
Questions, questions, questions. Far-fetched plot and moderate acting. This series could have been much better.
Clickbait (2021)
There are much better ones
There were some good aspects to this series. But you have to swallow the annoying, psychiatric sister, and the bizarre, illogical scenes of journalists who gather around the house 24/7 after a murder. For days. Where is the police? Overall the episodes were quite boring, with some unfinished storylines and unanswered questions. Average acting of most of the characters. Not good, not bad, and the same goes for the script. Just not enough for a 6 however.
"When family man Nick Brewer is abducted in a crime with a sinister online twist, those closest to him race to uncover who is behind it and why."
The Silencing (2020)
What?
What was this all about? A complete waste of time. No clear motive for the killer, and not a single person who connects the wounds of the victims to a medical specialist? A sheriff who lets the killer escape to protect her brother, but still can continue with the 'investigation'? Ridiculous. All scenes with a bit of tension are filmed in complete darkness. Almost nothing to see, even if I stood close to my big screen television. Poor acting in general, and an enormous amount of plot holes. Could have been a lot better with a decent script, more light and less illogical events. Keep away from this one if your time is precious.
The Night Agent (2023)
Pretty good series
Pretty good series. A convincing male main character, tension, plot twists and decent acting of most of the cast. Two stories coming together in a smooth way. However, also a lot of weak points. The writing, the plot holes, the unreal events and (most of all) the terrible acting of the female main character. Happy, angry, worried, romantic, dissapointed, sad: her face and intonation are always the same. Furthermore some annoying characters and some illogical details. Where is the security? But if you can ignore these things, an above averyage series remains at the end of the day. Hopefully the second season is more like this.
Hierro (2019)
OK
Surprised by the high ratings here. For me the 6 stars are more than enough. A lot of pretty anoying characters, and almost no one to really like. Some big plot holes during the investigation. The blood in the dive shop? The diving gear in Daniel's car? The late bread delivery after the murder of Reyes? No further attention paid. Furthermore some unnecessary characters and events. Candela's son? The wife of Diaz? And then the so called criminals from Tenerife, with Samir and her bodyguard. Laughable instead of threatening. Far fetched storyline. The 6 stars only for some decent acting among the cast, the nice scenery of El Hierro and the fact that I kept watching until the end. Not a holiday destinaties however.
Berlín (2023)
Disappointing
Great start in episode 1 and 2. Planning, explanation, some tension and a lot of humor. And then, for some strange reason, only boring episodes about relationships and sex. And not regarding 1 or 2 characters, no, regarding literally all the characters! Why? Pay more attention to the plot holes in the main story, I would say. At the end, it's just a cheap and quick way to earn more money after Money Heist. Big announcements on Netflix and high expectations. But a big disappointment. There are much better romantic comedies who doesn't promise something else. Unfortunately, this was really a waste of time.
13 Geboden (2017)
Weak
Some decent actors, some good episodes, some tension and some humor. But also a lot of annoying characters, a lack of speed and a terrible script. A main character who suddenly changes from an intelligent, thoughtful cop into a careless murderer? Plot holes, illogical events and boring scenes regarding his daughter and wife. For what purposes? A maximum of 8 episodes was more than enough for this weak story. The Belgian police is portrayed as a bunch of amateurs, with old fashioned tools and incapable employees. Four stars for the promising beginning, but it escalated quickly in the wrong direction.
Totenfrau (2022)
Very poor
What was this all about? A promising start but it escalated quickly after the annoying main character picked up the motorcycle. A mobile phone with full battery after 3 weeks, seriously? Killing people while leaving hundreds of traces? One ridiculous event after another with poor acting of almost everybody. Some characters add completely nothing to the weak story. No answers to relevant issues. Why is the father in law living with them? What is the background of Reza? Why did Mark turn up the road without looking? Nobody cares clearly. Only 1 star for the nice surroundings in a beautiful country.
Alex (2017)
Waste of time
What was this all about? What a waste of time. A criminal who can walk in and out of prison when he wants? Hilarious. Not a single character to like or identify with and a ridiculous plot.
Wisting (2019)
More of the same
Again a troubled, disturbed cop without any social skills in a dark setting. These Scandinavian series are mostly decent but the overkill is not good. The quality of series as The Bridge are rare. Wisting is more of the same with a lot of annoying characters and unreal events, mostly in complete darkness. Quite depressing.
Dr. Death (2021)
Quite interesting
A good series with some decent actors. But also some weak points of you ask me. Way to many switches from present to past which results in confusion regarding the events. And Kirby is too crazy to take him serious as a docter.
The Sinner (2017)
From bad to worse
Quite a promising start with season 1 but getting worse every episode towards season 4. Slow, boring, unreal events, unreal dialogues, a main character who doesn't speak and who keeps going to creepy places all alone. Watch it if you have problems falling into sleep. Otherwise choose something else.
Ojing-eo geim (2021)
Poor
Annoying characters, illogical events, boring dialogues, very precictable. What was this all about? That Koreans like violence and satanic killing? The idea is the series is quite good but the script is eventually pretty weak.
Kastanjemanden (2021)
Pretty good overall
Good story, pace, suspence en acting. Not more than 8 stars though because of sone shortcomings. For me, after 10 minutes in episode 1 it was clear who the killers would be. And as usual the main characters in dit with the police make stupid mistakes and enter dark buildings by themselves without informing a collegue. And of course they have their own problems during the way.
Ted Lasso (2020)
Simply brilliant
The deeper meanings of this series are incredable. Besides the funny story and great characters off course. Brilliant.
El recluso (2018)
Just fun
Just fun to watch and that's the most important. Forget about all the impossible events. Good characters and setting.
La casa de papel (2017)
From bad to worse
The first two seasons were great. But as usual the commercial success was more important than the memory.

4.
An average of 6.6 so a lucky 7 for the whole series. Time for something new.
Det som göms i snö (2018)
Happy to jump of a bridge
There was a time that almost all Scandinavian series were great. Refreshing, pretty good acting and nice sceneries. But too much of this stuff is depressing. Not a single blue sky in all episodes, darkness, silence, no humor, meaningless dialogues and annoying characters who never laugh. A twisted main character with the smallest amount of text in the entire history of television. Add some plot holes and the result is a slow and boring story which could have been told in 3 episodes. The script itself is quite decent so 4 stars for that.
El inocente (2021)
Good
Promising start in the first 2 episodes but a bit confusing after that with plot holes, unreal events and not a single sympathetic character. The style is refreshing however. Good, not great.
Dumb and Dumber (1994)
Best comedy of all time
Nothing to add to my title. Simply brilliant. Perfect duo on an hilarious road trip.
The Bucket List (2007)
Very nice
Two great actors, good story, tragic and funny at the same time.
