War for the Planet of the Apes (2017)
Planet of the Apes, Part 3.
Weird af. In the first part we watched Caesar learns how to interact with people, then he hardly could be able to say NO when he was mad, the next part he was able to speak, hardly, and we accepted it, now you're telling me that he can speak frequently as a native speaker while he's away of people and no teacher or he doesn't even listen to anyone to catch some new words up? And what about that one ape they found who can speak very well just by listening to humans? If it's that easy, I should've been born in a world of talking apes!
It's a good movie overall, it's just not as good as the other parts. That's it.
John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023)
The undying hero theory
Sadly, saying that this movie is the worst one of all the chapters. Apparently Keanu Reeves can't move like he used to, which is because of his age! A man who is 58 years old shouldn't be acting in such a movie.. he may be a family guy who is getting his daughter married or something not fighting here and there against gangsters and a whole crime organization!
I've been watching John Wick since 2014, which is 9 years from now, and whenever I get bored I just go rewatch this series over and over. Although my unconditional love for this series, I can't see it going down without saying it. I can't believe that I'm going to write this, but I don't wish to see another part of John Wick because it will be worse.
Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio (2022)
A new Pinocchio movie.
As we cry for the ones we love for nights, it could take up to years, but we eventually meet new ones who we get attached to.
"Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio"
A beautiful animated movie that teaches us the meaning of love, friendship, and how important we should keep trying and holding the ones we love and whatever happens we mustn't lose them for any reason, whether it is a huge matter or nothing to say about, either way we have to stick to them.
As for animation, it has a lot of meanings which have stopped in recent years' animations. God only knows why.
I wish to see more animation movies that have meanings in it, so it can grow feelings, emotions, etc... in our kids.
Cairo from 5 to 7 (2013)
Ahhhh, Home sweet home.
Wherever you go, whatever you do, you won't feel the warmth of home anywhere else but Egypt. The way we do things such as talking, working, laughing with each other, sitting in a cafeteria surrounded by old men's stories, etc... This, this can't be found anywhere else I'm sure of it. You will not listen to Quran on the radio anywhere in the world without having a feel of missing your home, your friends, the places you used to go together, childhood memories, neighborhood memories, all of it!
These things are starting to vanish one by one, thanks to our general "CC" who makes us hate our home and want to run out of it.
The Swimmers (2022)
OK.
To be honest, the movie was good. But to be completely honest, I do not go with those emotional movies. Ok, I got sad a little bit but still didn't like it enough tho.
One other thing I want to talk about, which is why do they speak English while they actually do have a native language, ok speaking with each other in front of strangers using English to make them understand that is ok, but what I don't understand is why do they speak in English when there is nobody else but them?
There is also another thing that I wasn't comfortable with, that is when that black woman removed her hejiab asking her man who actually agreed!
V for Vendetta (2005)
Vi Veri Veniversum Vivus Vici
This movie got all my attention in a way that no movie could do a long time ago. The idea was good, written more than good, performed and directed great for sure and came out to us in such an amazing way which shook me from inside out.
I want to thank Hugo Weaving, the man of the movie, for performing his role in a way I can't imagine even better and also the beautiful Natalie Portman, who had a huge part in making the movie such a masterpiece.
In another case, I would have given it ten stars but I didn't like a specific scene, which I won't tell what it is. Otherwise, there is nothing bad I can say about the movie.
Southpaw (2015)
What a hero!
Repeated story with different actors. That kind of stories in which the main character has some issues about his girlfriend, wife, ex, whatever.. Those problems always lead him to his failure, which is mostly his biggest failure in his life career, then his journey starts.
First, find yourself a new coach who will give him the cleaning job also by coincidence in his club. Then, he will train you in a way you champ, didn't ever see or expect to play with. Finally, play with the champion who beats everyone in your absence and by another coincidence he appears to be his enemy and they last in the match till the last round in the match, then you will win with a miracle like a big hit which will get the enemy down in the last second or whatever.
We did see this kind of movie in something like Helm El-Omr, which I used to think is a comedy genre.
12 Years a Slave (2013)
Roll Jordan Roll
"If this conversation concerns what is factual and what is not, then it must be said that there is no justice nor righteousness in their slavery."
I have watched many movies about slavery. Each movie of them touched me the way of itself, but this movie had me more than most of the other ones. I guess this is because of a different case of Solomon here, who was a free man who fainted and woke up to find himself a slave which he didn't even imagine after being a known gentleman back in his hometown.
I knew that Chiwetel Ejiofor is a good actor, What I didn't know that he's so much good like that!
The Recruit (2003)
Completely nonsense.
I was pleased with most of the movie till that weirdo ending. Why does the great Burke turn on the agency which made him for just 3 million dollars? Weird because I see it less than whatever he should be paid considering what he got paid in the CIA.
And what is it with the shouting? Why should Al Pacino always shout in every single movie he performs in? I think that is something in his contract.. Hello, my name is Al Pacino. I want to tell you that I'm not going to get paid unless I shout at the end of the movie and I would prefer it if you could make my character suitable with a beard. Thanks.
Gone Girl (2014)
Oh. My. God!
I thought that I was going to like the movie but didn't expect to love it that much! How could I live without watching such a masterpiece?
I used to like Ben Affleck, but now I don't just like him no, he's one of my favorite actors from now on.
On the other hand, Rosamund Pike did very well performing her side of the movie. Writing, directing, soundtracks, etc... Nothing in the movie wasn't perfectly presented.
Now this is how crime movies should be presented. This is what those stupid producers should spend their money on. Not like most of these days movies which give us nothing useful to watch.
The Contractor (2022)
The Non-Actor
I don't know why my luck turned out too bad like that. Why do I watch such idiotic movies like this? Don't these actors learn how to perform or what I don't know.. Even the script is too bad, and what about these flying bullets everywhere without even scratching the main character? Didn't we pass that long time ago?
If I got to the man who funds this bull sh## I don't know what am I going to do with him. Honestly, he should get a punishment for wasting his money on such movies and wasting our time too.
I really wish now I could control the memories center in my mind to delete what wasted 105 minutes of my priceless life.
House of the Dragon: Driftmark (2022)
Now they see you as you are
I don't know what to write or how to even express my feelings! The episode was full of events from the first moment until the last one.
Although the events of the series are not as epic as it was in Game of Thrones, it could just be the beginning of another great season and they're planning to surprise us later, which I hope so.
On the other hand, the actors' performance was incredible, especially Aemon, who turned out to be the episode's star.
Talking about the events itself, which were a lot in many ways and perfectly arranged.
Eventually, for those who say the series is not that good, I want to tell them to wait until we see what HBO has to offer us.
Thor: Love and Thunder (2022)
2022's Thor Movie
After hearing lots of people saying that the movie is way too bad, I decided to watch it to continue the MCU.
In my opinion, it was not that bad to be honest.
Okay, it's not better than Thor: Ragnarok as expected, but still not as bad as I heared.
I was dying out laughing watching the scene of Russell Crowe "Zeus" who gave us a scene full of comedy and ego.
Of course, I can't end the review without talking about the great Christian Bale "Gorr" who was more than amazing and his performance was more than good as we used to watching him.
Finally, after thinking carefully to write this review or not, I want to say that I enjoyed the movie whether the fans liked it or not. They're expecting something good to be compared to Avengers: Endgame, which is not going to happen because marvel is going down after it. They should have ended this movie series after it, in my opinion.
Hilm el-Umr (2008)
Very Cringe
Hamada Helal's performance was exaggerated most of the movie.
Another thing, That American who didn't lose any match and took two of three world cup medals how could he lose against someone it's his first time in the world cup at all? Is that even possible? Could that be in the real life? I don't think so to be honest.
One other thing I can't write the review without talking about, When he fell down by the America's hit, How could he stand up again when he hear the name of Egypt? Why do the audience even listen to a child? Did they know that she's his sister?
The whole movie is full of non-reasonable things and bad acting.
American Psycho II: All American Girl (2002)
Not Really
Not as good as the first part really. The story was written in a good way but has some gaps which made me not have fun as much as I did watching the first part.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
That, no doubt, exceeded my expectations!
Most of the people I know see that this movie is just continuing WandaVision events, but I see it not! I think this movie was made for pleasure and surprise, as it contains heroes who are not expected to see and events which blow the minds up! I can't write anything else to avoid spoiling in the movie.
All I want to say is I didn't expect to be surprised like that after getting disappointed by "Spider-Man: No Way Home" particularly.
Bumblebee (2018)
First autobot on earth.
The movie didn't go the way I thought it would be. I thought that it was gonna be the last movie in the Transformers series, but it appears to be not. To be honest, I didn't have much fun watching that cowered Bumblebee who I still don't understand what he was afraid of!
Transformers: The Last Knight (2017)
The Last Knight!
In my opinion, this is the best movie in this series. Things were turning over and over. I wasn't really expecting what was going to happen ( but the wining end for the autobots of course ).
Finally, I can't end my review without thanking Mark Wahlberg, Laura Haddock and Anthony Hopkins for their great acting, adding to them Michael Bay, of course, for giving us such a great movie with an impressive CGI.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)
Sentinel's Return!
Amazing acting, CGI and scenario. This is not the first time to watch the movie but it still impresses me when things turn from win to lose or the opposite. I think I'm going to love this movie series over Marvel's.
Transformers (2007)
Autobots, Roll out!
Although I've seen this movie series before, I'm glad to rewatch it once again as I got excited and tense.. It never gets old. I had as much fun as the first time.
The first movie was done, five to go.
Morbius (2022)
Dr. Michael Morbius!
I started hating Marvel lately, but I have to say that Morbius is a good movie just like we used to watch from them.
I thought it would be out of the MCU but the last scene did shock me for real!
The Northman (2022)
The Northman.
I liked the story but the idea of many gods and they have a main god "Odin" that I wasn't comfortable with. One more to say that I wasn't expecting that conclusion to be honest, adding to that the good acting which made the movie accepted.
Ford v Ferrari (2019)
MILES... MILES... MILES!
I put this movie on my watchlist for a long time and thought that it would be one of the boring ones, but it wasn't actually! I think the thing that made me love the movie is not because of the competition between Ford 'n Ferrari, no... I think this returns to me as I love driving fast.
I think I didn't write a lot about the movie because everything was more than good, directing, the actors, soundtracks, etc... Nothing wasn't perfectly made!
Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas (1997)
Enchanted Christmas?
I think this part is nothing more prolongation of events, nothing new, just adding a few details to the main story and BOOM here is a new movie.
Did people like the movie? Why don't we try to make another one, and one more if we can, you know? We should make a mini-series too.
Beauty and the Beast (1991)
A good movie but...
I wanted to watch this movie so much which a lot of people had.
The story was good, but the one thing that I wasn't comfortable with is that there are a lot and a lot of songs and dancing, which made me get bored sometimes.
