Real Husbands of Hollywood (2013)
A great surprise on a boring weekend!
This show is hilarious. The writing is fantastic. Kevin Hart is so great at what he does but the rest of the cast is also incredibly funny and their chemistry is great. Watching Kevin trying to jockey for position in his clique is great and after only 4 episodes I'm already wondering what he'll do next.
Rarely do I take time to write a review for any show. This one had me laughing within a couple minutes and that takes some work lately. I had very low expectations but this show had me busting out laughing over and over in the first few episodes. Kevin Hart is truly funny and ridiculous.
88 Minutes (2007)
The worst movie I've seen in a LOOOOOOOONG TIME!
And this was supposed to be a blockbuster??? This wasn't even up to par with a half baked 60 minute television crime drama. I had heard that this movie was poor. I'd heard that there were no good performances in the movie. I'd heard that the plot was rushed and that I'd regret wasting spending the time it took to watch it. All of these statements were so incredibly understated and did not remotely allow for how terrible this movie really was. I can't believe that Al Pacino found any reasons to actually make this film. I can't believe a studio funded it. I can't believe that it has a 6 for a rating overall. This is one of the worst developed plots; the most rushed story lines; so many short cuts and just an utter waste of talent and time. HORRIBLE!!! I want my 88 minutes back!!!
Taken (2008)
What was the body count?
Liam Neeson is so awesome in this movie. I've always loved him. I like most of the movies he does. But in this movie, he doesn't just kick ass and not remotely worry about taking names, he does it in such a nonchalant manner! Its just so matter of fact; the character he plays he is THAT GOOD at what he does. And Liam is JUST as good at playing this character as his character is at eliminating the opposition.
Like a lot of the others who've commented here, I couldn't help but compare Neeson's character to Bond and Bourne but he's in a whole league of his own, isn't he? He has no gadgets. A lot of the time, no weapons either. Just his bare hands are enough to put numerous bad guys out to pasture before they even realize they're up against a foe.
I'm a chick and went to see this on Valentine's Day and I couldn't have cared less that we didn't see something more romantic. I was entertained thoroughly even if a lot of the basic plot was predictable, Neeson made it all worth while!
