It has the same formula as Weeds or Breaking Bad where increasingly worse decisions are made by the characters to escalate the drama. The problem is that it quickly goes beyond the point where a viewer can force themselves to suspend their critical thinking for the joy of the ride.

This is one of those movies that the sound editor thought that hearing the music and background noises was more important than hearing the dialogue.
