Half & Half (2002)
It needs time to mature
Like every TV series it takes a year or two for a show to hit it's stride like Girlfriends did. I admit that in the beginning this series was a little choppy but, anytime you get to see Rachel True and Essence Atkins on TV it is a treat. I think they play Rachel a little too clownish and her Frankenstein boots every episode are too much. Hopefully this show will get another year to mature because it has a good premise, it just needs a little time to mature.
Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever (2002)
Never got a chance
I am in the entertainment industry so I know that when something get a lot of hype and does not perform......it's all over pretty fast. This movie has some positives though. The direction is Hong Kong style which I like. There were a lot of cinematic touches like smoke in slow motion and birds flying across the screen. Lucy Liu is a dynamo! She should have been in the Matrix, this movie has some scenes on par with the Matrix. Lucy or her stunt double had some great fight scenes, and at one point Lucy dumps like 1 million rounds of ammo into the police like the Matrix elevator scene. Alas, the story was so so and Antonio Bandaras was dead weight. Who said he was a good actor? He needs to get in shape and his fight scenes were wack! Lucy Liu has a future in martial arts films.
That's So Raven (2003)
Raven is a budding Superstar!
This show should be on Network TV like Sister to Sister was. It is at least as good as Half and Half and the Parkers. I don't understand why Disney does not air That's So Raven on Saturday mornings on ABC like it does with Kim Possible. Raven is about to blow up like Nick Cannon did, she has the ability to go over the top with her comedy like Lucille Ball instead of being a diva and not wanting to get dirty or look silly! This show is a riot and now with Hillary Duff leaving Disney it will be a Raven world because we know how Disney gets behind their actors!!!!!!!!!!
TV 101 (1988)
It was a rare gem
Not many people caught this show but, it was a treat. First of all it was the debut of Stacey Dash to the entertainment world which in and of itself was worth praise. It was a smart witty show with a cutting edge theme and production style. I would like to see this show again in reruns or on DVD.
Excalibur (1981)
Bar NONE!
This is thee greastest King Arthur movie in cinematic history!!!! No movie has ever come close to touching the authenticity of this movie from the script to the armor to the cinematography. The battles were terrific! This is a must see for anyone who likes the Arthurian legends.
