What Dreams May Come (1998)
Simply Great!
i agree that this film is unorganized, or exaggerated in some scenes, but this is simply great movie! i always see Robin Williams in the same place with YES singer Jon Anderson, creating great things, but underestimated because most people are not ready for what they do. And i always get surprised to see how much "beavis & butthead"s there are around. Of course this is not a film for people who likes kickboxer VII or blood fight XXVII, works in some great firms, eats hamburgers and other fast crap, uses drugs or cigarettes to toxify themselves or never trusts their own fathers. Hmmm, but i'm afraid they are majority...
Turist Ömer Uzay Yolunda (1973)
A classic cult!
This is surely one of the biggest cult of Turkish movie history and also one of the biggest of science-fiction genre too. Although you would miss some great jokes if you are not familiar with turkish culture, you wouldn't miss the classic cult dialogues between Mr.Spak and Turist omer.
Try to catch this one!
The Big Lebowski (1998)
best film of the season
I am not a fun of coen brothers, in fact i don't like their films. but big lebowski is really the best film of the season, Bridges/Goodman are really magnificent, also other players (especially John Turturro) are superb too. the only compliant i may have is Julianne Moore, she sucks! Great players (except jm), great performances (except guess who?), great film, ah and really great music. Don't miss this Coen masterpiece!
Alien (1979)
hmmm interesting...
it's such an interesting experience to read comments for alien. For me, this film is a real cult. like it says in a comment, i have never seen the equal of cold beauty and dark atmosphere (except blade runner)in this film. but the interesting thing is, people says aliens is better. oh my god, people should be kidding, if not we'll see/hear more plastic, worthless crap like titanics, die hards (IV-VI-X etc), spice girls etc. Maybe we all deserve these because we prefer not to protect real art.
Alien is a masterpiece of cinema art...
The Blues Brothers (1980)
best film ever made!
BB is surely the best film in the history of cinema. This is the identification of "cult film". Elwood and Jake are the coolest characters i've ever seen and Blues Brothers Band can surely turn goat p**s into gasoline! I'm glad to watch them live on concert last year here in izmir. Thanks everybody who have worked for that masterpiece!
