"The Scrapper" is a movie about a illegal immigration and where some kingpins of Punjab are involved. I will level with you, as I did not know whether this was a story based on real fact or just an invented one, I did some research. And Oh boy was I surprised. This is as real as it can get. The dialogues are well written and the acting is solid, with the focus on the issue of illegal immigration, not on the acting. The setting gives the situation a bit of originality. Unexpectedly the heist itself doesn't get major screen time and to my opinion, that was a decision well taken. This is a textbook movie about crime and poverty, revenge and family, topped up with illegal immigration! The story opened my eyes. The acting, especially towards the end (fighting scenes) was not good at all. But all this does not prevent from you from watching the movie. No excuses, get some cultural education. Try to understand people with a different religion. I am not saying agreeing, just understanding. And the world would be a better place. Bari Kang, thank you for this movie.

Strong story and interesting plot is let down by some wooden acting and pretty amateurish special effects. Overall though it kept my attention but one cannot help but wish the characters were developed better.
Blood feud thriller i have seen, but its just too generic to make me impressed. Its a sad story about punjabis, mexicans and americans to rule the mobster market, its raw killings , avenge and revenge almost vigillantestyle. The acting is so'n so, its a low budget production with a small cast, a story of few words, but very well filmed and edited.
Therefore it has some qualities that makes the grumpy old man recommend a little, though not the best in the class.
