Is brutally hot that even if you hate this movie...
Just her in that white dress makes it all worthwhile.
Movie is watchable and OK fun. Certainly must have fun to make. Anyone who gave this a 10 is of very low standards or worked on the crew.

The scenario has many plot holes in a lot of places. The general idea for the movie is good, but the action and performances inside the film seems poor in my opinion. I would almost say difficult to watch after an hour or so for some people. Give it a try if you want but don't expect anything above average.
Sorry and obviously no pun intended as always. You may know the main character from her TV roles (I am not sure how distinct you think her voice is, so maybe you are a fan of video games too) ... mainly The 100 of course. At least that is true for me.
The action movie is quite ... well it is easily told, even if I reckon there are some twists along the way. On the other hand her main antagonist ... well it is quite cliche. Also there might be some nudity in this, though I couldn't tell what exactly you could see .. the service I watched this on blurred the love scene ... not sure if that would play any role for you (not the blurring, but the nudity if there is any and if it is male or female focused).
That all said, the movie is I reckon decent enough ... especially if you are a fan of hers ... it is more or less a showreel for her .. and she stretch a bit of her acting muscles. Weird ending I suppose ...

Is this supposed to be a bad comedy? How do people get money to make 2 bit garbage like this? Plot is uber ridiculous, characters are paper thin. Don't waste your time ...

We need someone to root for. We can root for good guys, like heroes in action movies. We can root for bad guys, like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. But we need to root for someone. We need someone we care about.
This movie has NO one we care about. Four argumentative repulsive dimwits find $50 million. They decide to steal it. Watching the four of them die in a hail of gunfire is the best we can hope for.
They are pursued by corrupt DEA agents, led by an argumentative repulsive dimwit. She wants to steal the $50 million for herself. Watching her and her corrupt henchmen die in a hail of gunfire is the best we can hope for.
The $50 million belongs to a drug dealer. Watching him and his goons die in a hail of gunfire is the best we can hope for.
And that's the film. We're watching in the hopes everyone gets what they deserve. Only there is no one trying to give it to them. There is no protagonist.
Three stars for the temerity to release a movie where Steve Gutenberg is the best actor in the cast. Minus one star for a screenwriter who doesn't know the basics of the craft.
Two stars.

I had to take three showers after watching this. It's that bad! This thing has robbed me of an hour and a half of my life. The writing is awful there is no direction and the acting is doodoo. Stay away please. This movie will ruin your day scratch that your week! I wish there was a zero option I truly do.
This action movie is a must-see - it's one that everyone can enjoy. With two badass female protagonists and incredible stunts, you've gotta watch Break Even at your next movie night.

When a movie has to resort to sex as flypaper, your scenses should warn you it's a shallow movie - and it is!
-Acting: not so good
-Goofs: way too many, like let's not draw attention, by the way is this an Ak-47, fires a few rounds - wow cool.
-Plot: two couples on a sailboat finds $50 mill when diving, we're rich... we just have to....
-GreenScreens: way too obvious!
If still a teenager hungry for light dressed actors, and easy chewable «action» you might last till the end, but anyone above 20 who manages to see the entire film, wow gratulation - I went for a hike instead!

Amateur hour. Stopped watching after 45 mins. The only one that has some credibility is Jaq even she isn't that good. Waste of time.

This is a low budget affair and it shows. This plot has been seen before - nice people find bad people's money and the bad people come after them.
The scenes are pretty disjointed and don't fit together very well. There are plot holes at seemingly every turn.
Jaq (Tasya Teles) is the only actor who does a good job with their role. But the script she has to work with is horrible. Her fellow crew members are. Without giving away nything her relationship with the bad guys and other felons is confusing and simply not believable.
Agent Crowe (Joanna Pacula) is a particularly bad actress. As the main nemesis in the movie her bad acting pulls it all down. In her defense, she and most of the other roles are poorly defined.
Most hilarious is what is basically a cameo from Steve Gutenburg who has put on a few pounds. He's the only actor in the movie you probably have heard of before. He is given top billing (?). His acting is pretty bad as he tries to restore the zaniness of his Police Academy days. I actually liked those. Unfortunately for Steve, he could never move beyond that to any other big roles.

Right, well "Break Even" from writer CJ Walley and director Shane Stanley is not a movie that will redefine cinema history. As a matter of fact, chances are that the movie will fade into oblivion just as quietly and unnoticed as it managed to pop up in 2020.
Sure, the movie was watchable, although it was hardly an impressive movie in terms of entertainment and story. However, the movie was just suffering terribly from having a very generic and mundane storyline that was just almost fully devoid of innovation. So it felt like director Shane Stanley was just running the movie on auto-pilot.
And the lack of a proper storyline with a great arch and hooks to sink in the audience, the movie just trotted onwards in a very mediocre and pointless pace. I swear, it was hard to keep 100% focus on the movie, as so little of any interest actually happened throughout the course of the movie.
The acting in "Break Even" was adequate, though the actors and actresses were virtually struggling with an empty storyline and flaccid characters that essentially could have all been one and the same.
I am sure that there is an audience out there for a movie such as "Break Even", I was however not really in the target audience. So "Break Even" was a swing and a miss from director Shane Stanley.
My rating of "Break Even" lands on a generous three out of ten stars. I was not entertained by what transpired on the screen, and this is hardly a movie that I will recommend that you spend your money, time or effort on. Nor is it a movie that I will be return to watch a second time.

Absolutely everything about this movie is terrible. Terrible acting, terrible writing, terrible story, terrible direction, insipid dialog. Even the love scene made my eyes roll into the back of my head wondering why it was even there. Add to that are plot holes big enough to drive an eighteen wheeler through them. Even a superstar like steve gutenberg couldn't save this disaster from the garbage heap. (yes, that was sarcasm.) I can't believe this movie got any positive reviews. I would have given zero stars if I had been given that option. The scariest thing is the hint at a sequel while the credits are rolling.

Not just an action film, but a film about a closed off character opening up, and learning who she is. A must watch in my opinion

This action movie was so fun to watch! I'm typically not a fan of action movies, but this one has all the fun and drama that makes an action movie exciting! Definitely recommend for a nice movie night.

There was a great story potential here, but after 10 minutes, it was all washed up.
Now we have a movie about stupid people doing what they do best...stupid actions...and it results in a stupid plot to end up in a stupid movie.
Welcome to 2020.

This flick is...inadequate. It's hokey and uninspiring. After the first fifteen minutes, I realized my mistake. Boredom's to blame. Sometimes in life, movies get made that end up sucky. Say hello to this film. You must accept it, leave a snarky review on IMDb, and proceed to move on. Hey-wait! That's me now. Have a great day.

I'm really tired of the hot, fake-tough girl role in movies now. We can be strong without being super fake.

The movie is full of horrible acting and has a script quality as if it was written by a 3rd grader. It lacks in any real action. Other than nice scenery, the movie simply is not entertaining. If you come across this title, pass it by. Save yourself the misery.

If you want raw action, A-list cast, and a $100 million dollar movie, you may not be suited for this film. However if you want a mix of fun, emotions, action and a soulful performance this film is great. Thoroughly enjoyed watching this. I will be watching it again. This film way exceeds its budget in every way.

If you want to spend some time petting your cat and getting work done around the house, this film is your best choice for filler noise, because even if you miss chunks of it, you can still figure out what is happening. That's how predictable it is. Besides that, it is an action film that lacks any type of action, and you can't even pay attention to the undescore, because it is so badly placed, it doesn't fit with what is happening. The only good thing about it are the actors, who are pretty, and they make up for the poor acting (probably because the script was badly written, and you can't make an oscar performance out of pulp fiction) and the horrendous plot (what is even a plot? That's what I've been asking myself the whole time). No one can relate to it, to the characters, and you can't chose between good and bad, moral and imoral, and so on.
