Try to keep in mind this is a fan film. And after watching the credits, essentially a one man crew.
This was a lot of work, and for what it is wasnt bad. Cool jason, decent kills, friday type characters. The soundtrack sometimes is off key and well as the audio output. But hey guys "fan film". The acting isn't great but hey, again its just a fan film. Turn your brain off for a while and enjoy yourselves. Or don't.

If you're a diehard Jason fan and want a new Friday adventure, this will suffice. Its no master peice and I would recommend "Vengence" over this one, but this one has a lot of nice shots, is made well and does the franchise no harm... so consider it unofficial canon or not. It's ok for at least one viewing.

Plot
Following a successful bank heist, a group of criminals flee to the now abandoned Camp Crystal Lake with the idea of hiding from the law until dawn.
Cast
Not familiar with anybody involved.
Verdict
I'm binge watching Friday 13th fan films, I've come across the good, the bad, the ugly, the truly moronic, the shilled into oblivion on the site and the ones that defy logic in every way imaginable.
Voorhees is one of the worst as it's the bad and the ugly.
The concept, sound enough but the execution fails on every conceivable level. Jason looks poor, the kills are terrible, the pacing is all over the place and it really would have been better suited as a short film anyway.
There are more fan films out there than you may realize, skip this one, most definitely skip the Vengeance films and instead just go watch Don't Hike Alone 1 & 2.
Rants
If you don't have the budget to do something, don't do it. Not got two bobs to rub together, make a romantic comedy, make a drama, make a thriller but something that requires absolutely no effects. No elaborate costumes, creatures, fight sequences, cgi or anything. This right here, is why following that advice is essential
Breakdown
Really ugly Pacing is way off Jason looks poor Writing is pretty dire.

Sadly this movie did not meet the hype. I accept that indie horror movies will have their faults but this movie had only a few redeeming qualities. The concept of a bunch of robbers using camp crystal lake as a hide out was good but the concept was poorly executed. Character development was poor, the story was poorly written and the few actors with some personality were killed early or in the movie for mere minutes. Camp Crystal lake was unrecognizable with most of the action occurring in what appeared to be a horse barn. I liked the look of the masked Jason (minus the hood and hands) but he was only in the movie for 10-15 minutes probably and most of his kills were off screen. The color quality, lighting and sound are bad. The score was over powering in many scenes. I would not recommend this movie.

First, I understand this is a fan film. But when you see Never Hike fan films bring in people who have more than an ounce of acting talent, and help a Jason movie succeed, you understand why this was so cringe inducing. The only good was seeing Jason, when finally arrived. By then, I wanted him to put me out of my misery!
Not a Jason film.
I say again, NOT A JASON FILM. Some guy is pretending to be Jason.
The kills are not Jason kills. Jason does not kill off screen.
The effects are good.
The acting is silly. Sex scene is poor.
The writing is not good. The ending is stupid.
This is only a Jason film to get people to watch.
It was free, but at the cost of my interest.
This is not a Jason film.
I loved it.. For a fan movie I thought it was fantastic.. Great story line and plenty of action..
Cody did an amazing job..
Definitely looking forward to his next movie..

This is the first FAN film I got into and to follow this from the early days of production I am so impressed with the result.
A big hand to Cody and cast/crew I really enjoyed it - blood, gore and good story a great homage to the franchise well done 👍

Let me start off by saying, for a fan film, this is great! This movie could easily rival the others. This movie is actually better than a couple of the Friday the 13th movies. The storyline was really good, the murder scenes were brutal and terrifying, and the acting wasn't half bad either. Whoever wrote and directed this movie should totally think about doing another one.

This was in my recommended while watching horror movies~ I'm a super freak for Jason! But good god this was cringe! It looks like some kids got their camcorder and started recording for their college portfolio! Acting scenes is pretty lame. Gore scenes seem cheap! Sorry but you gotta work on where you get your gore makeup. Camera angle just screams "amateur creators". Some angles looked like I was playing GTA. Lighting for so called tension-full scenes is pretty juvenile......sound effects for gore horrendous.
Simply~ college kids playing with camcorders, acting, lighting, sound effects for the first time. Had to end early

I really enjoyed this movie. Loved the beginning that takes you back to the original Friday the 13th. Its not a big Hollywood production but a film made for fans on a much smaller budget. Horror fans will love it. Thanks for a great movie!

I never thought it would be this bad.sad end to a good movie series.wretched....sean s. Cunnigham.steve miner.joseph zito danny steinmann..where are you now.
Fast paced. Fun, original story. Decent acting. Plenty of gore. And Jason is a juggernaut. Completely mean spirited and brutal.
Like Jason? You'll like this.

The entire cast and crew killed it in this movie! They did a fantastic job with such a limited budget as a fan film. I can only imagine what they could of done with more equipment and more money. You need to spend your time to watch this movie, you won't regret it!

From a Jason fan from the first movie, I'm so happy to finally see someone give Jason the life that he had back in the 80s!!! This film kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end!!!! Hands down one of the best Friday the 13th films I've seen since the older ones!!!

An absolute must watch. The kills are phenomenal. The cinematography was great. The story line was unexpected and awesome. Overall a amazing movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Cant wait to see more work from wet paint pictures and AmoSFX that did the special effects for this movie.

Cody Faulk you and your team nail it man ! grotesque kills, very nice angles and the score and sounds fit very nicely... keep in mind this was an amateur fan film and it focuses on JASON VOORHEES the STAR !!
The amount of effort is clear to see!! The face reveal was amazing!! AmoSFX was on point with all the make up effects! My 13 year old son is also a fan of the movie!! Definitely plan on sharing to my friends and family!! 47k views in 2 days?!?!! Just wow!!

GREAT film. Only one complaint V does a hit an run. He doesn't DO multiple Strikes on a captured target. That is what makes him not a bully type killer (he tries to kill you in one), but a straight I know I'm in the right killer. For the ones who think he is wrong... he died because people were not doing right.
