The story is really good and the show is meant to show the disgusting ways in which 'females' are oppressed in India and in Indian rural societies that are highly patriarchal and disgustingly sexist. The show shows a young eight year old girl who is tough, bold, brave, strong both mentally and physically (FINALLY), and confident. She defies all sexism thrown at her and tries her best to prove that she is a human and has a right to human rights and the ability to do every single thing a human can do. She is set out to prove moronic and sexist men AND some sexist women that she can also wrestle and bring home the championship. The story is not just about wrestling, but all the other subtle and overt ways in which females are oppressed and tortured. A subtle example of sexism is how all the wives have to call the husband 'hukum sa' as if the husband is the order and the wife is the servant who obeys lmao. Overt sexism includes straight out telling a girl child she is not allowed to LEARN, to get a basic education, and to participate in sports and wrestling. I just hope the show continues to be good and gives the right message the right way. India, a third world country (and so for a very good reason), has a long way to go before it can even think about competing with other countries. A country where the female human is suppressed will always be doomed.
