Scott Adkins said he based his performance of Max Cloud on Ron Burgundy, the title character from Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.
Due to the film's low budget, the sets were often reused and redecorated.
Another film was shot previously in same studio at Yorkshire. The sets were leftover, and the owners of the studio asked Director Martin Owen and co-writer/actress Sally Collet if they wanted to use the sets to make their own movie. Owen and Collet wrote The Intergalactic Adventures Of Max Cloud in two weeks.
