Incredibly inept ghost story, which is all over the place.the pacing and scenes rarely make sense. Its still enjoyable.for all its stupidity and its worth watching for that alone. It will be difficult to find a worse film this year, but I do recommend it for people to use it as a baseline to do their best and worst films of the year.

Someone must be using a bot for all of those 10/10 reviews. Is this filmed ala Bollywood? Or is someone a fan of the old Hammer House of Horror movies from the 70s? I Don't know, but they've created a bit of a mess. The acting is hammy, the use of studio dubbing for the dialogue is stupid, cuts from scene to scene, particularly in the first half, without rhyme or reason. A real throwback to the Hammer movies......but, and this may seem an odd question....... WHY???

If you have a ghost story to tell then tell it. No need for the rest of this nonsense. As for the hint at the end titles that a follow up is on the way....for the love of God - NO, thank you.

I don't usually review on IMDb, but for this I had to, having seen the multiple 10 star user reviews outnumbering all the others on here.

It's obvious that the makers have put a lot of effort into this (mostly in post-production), but the film is a bit of a mess. The titular character doesn't feature all that much to warrant the title, and his gift (demonstrated at the beginning of the film) is conveniently ignored, which otherwise would make a 10 minute film.

There are some good ideas here, but they're not very well executed. The suspense and fear is missing, partly to do with the acting & direction, but more to do with the voice-work. Some character's voices sound like they have been dubbed entirely, so I spent a lot of the film disengaged because it was so jarring. Some characters, no matter where they were, seem to have the same vocal echo; be it a police station, beach head, cottage, etc.

Maybe in years to come I will be proven wrong and this will be a cult film - the silliness was intentional - but for now, a 10 star film it is not.

Cheap crew, cheap story line cheap cinematography cheap editing and the ghosts were so childish that my 2 year old laughed. I only went to see because it had 9.2 rating I did think it was too good to be true.

Story is not extra ordinary pretty simple i mean really simple and direction is worst so many cuts without affect it's like a amature cut videos using their phone no effects between scene change, neither acting was good.

I don't understand why high ratings has been given to this movie by some peoples. Look like they are just born and watch horror movie or they are joking.

About this movie: i watched this movie by seeing high ratings but after watching 1st episode i realised that this is worst movie, just like" bhuj the pride" movie.

Poor direction, cheap actors and visual effects is third class. Only main actor and actess was good . Aslo location is nice which is only thing to watch.

Better to watch any horror serial on television.

I also recommend to those peoples who need good sleep, because while watching u will definitely sleep 😴.

One simple reason not to watch this movie despite high rating: someone may spell "awesome" as "ossum". Some other people may follow suit. But if everyone who is giving a high rating is spelling it the exact same wrong way, it tells you that something is fishy.

I really enjoyed watching from beginning to end. I am a fan of Priyanshu and Nyra: their acting is so believable and beautiful. Must watch this. I really liked this.

I don't know what these people are thinking. I usually watch the movies after checking rating on IMDb. But this 8 star rated movie is a complete disappointment. This is full of illogical scenes, pathetic acting and VFX/editing. General, old, poor and boring story also...

This may well end up as a cult classic along the lines of Ed Wood's films. The acting is just so appallingly bad, that you are either going to switch off within 5 minutes of the start, or you are going to be laughing so hard, it hurts.

Such a contradiction. The opening titles are very well done, and doubtless this is where the budget has gone. No money left for actors, so it seems the producer has simply dispensed with them, and made the brave choice to randomly select individuals from Tesco's car park to play the pivotal characters.

I have seen some guff in my time, but if this doesn't take the biscuit, I will be astonished.

THE HOUSE ON THE CLIFF is another Amazon Prime acquisition that they shouldn't have bothered with. In fact, I found it unwatchable. This Indian/British indie is about a ghost hunter called in to help a couple with the spirits in their house, but it's not a real film, just a succession of absolutely awful CGI ghost effects and characters talking in a room. When I watch films like this, I always wonder what the point is, because it's not discernable to me. From the first scene in which a guy wanders around a house witnessing random, appallingly animated spooks, I felt like I was experiencing a bad drug trip, and it gets no better from there.

Barun Rai is an individual that can see things others cannot. When law enforcement come across unsolvable cases, they consult Rai who chooses to investigate from a paranormal perspective. He is called to help with a case that includes several unusual suicides within a small seaside village.

Let's start with the obvious lack of quality. It's low budget and lacks the polished look of better funded films. The setting isn't too bad. It takes place in the 70's and the seaside cliff is naturally beautiful. The acting is not performed by seasoned actors so there's a bit of cringe going on.

In the opening sequence, I believed that the special effects might be somewhat interesting but once they started with the CGI and sound effects it took a huge nose dive. They are just not well done. The story and character development is cliché, predictable and weak and the progression is S-L-O-W. So slow that I actually had to speed up the playback to keep from getting bored.

This just didn't do anything for me and I'll never watch it again.

This is one of the greatest films of all time. There are so many little details that you don't even notice, and I will not spoil them, discover them for yourself!
