Corny. Good message but corny. Music and all. Wish the lens wasn't so wide all the time, either.

Gift for wedding anniversary. A huge surprise. And a seductive new level of romance. Inspired short film about the clash between reality and virtual discovering deep, deep desires. Beautiful acting -Nikki Amuka- Bird is just splendid as Emelia.

The cast bring a lot to the film - particularly Amuka-Bird and Vinall. There were tender individual moments with them and together. However I struggled that the same wasn't happening from the start because there were things I didn't buy which did then limit how much I was invested in the characters.
I'm not talking about the concept of the technology, but rather the relationship between the two. They didn't feel like a real couple at the start, mainly because there was nothing in their interactions that offered any small edge or history. The ending tells us she knew or suspected, and he obviously knew, so why was this not in those early interactions as a tension or reluctance.
Good in individual performance moments but not as a whole film.
