Platinum Dreams was originally written as a feature film in 2010 but writer/Director, Lorenzo Anderson, whom the storyline is partially based on, felt that the budget at the time was too small to tell the story in the way he wanted to and decided to put things on hold. Only one scenes was filmed featuring actress Chloe Cahill , who plays Wanda Jameson, Chloe remained loyal to the production for 11 years and now portrays the role of Wanda in the 2024 series.
Volume Music, the name of the record company featured in the film, is the actual name of the production company for the film and is owned by Lorenzo Anderson, who plays the main character, Jason Thomas.
