A tween focused sit-com.
Has its moments where you think the writers have just nailed it, then other moments where you know they are writing for an audience who doesn't know any better, and they treat the audience as imbeciles. For example, accessing other people's personal information from government agencies, by simply 'sending away' for the files. In real life, there would be almost no way to access that kind of information. There were times where it just was not based in reality.
But it is unique compared to most tween shows, and season 2 especially shows how some relationships can be complicated. The acting does a decent job, but don't expect too much laughs. The comedy is laugh-track induced, very basic situational humor, most of what could have been written by anyone's dad. But sometimes, just sometimes, it hits the mark.
