In the anime and manga, Miki was originally at a shopping center with her friend, Kei, when the outbreak happened. In this movie, she is another student at the school and was in the cafeteria when the outbreak happened. Kei is seen getting pulled into a crowd of zombies and being bitten.
The name of Kurumi's senpai and crush is revealed to be Tsumugi Katsuragi.
