There is no town named Sowie Doly. Most likely filmed in the,Owl (Sowa) Mountains and in Walim.
The metropolitan scenes are in Wroclaw, as depicted in the series. The University scenes, for example.
Many of the outdoor scenes were filmed in Nowa Ruda, near the Czech border.
