"Siccin 5" continues its journey into the supernatural with a 6/10 rating from me, and I have to admit, I found it strangely appealing. The acting, while not consistently polished, manages to maintain a sense of eerie authenticity that adds to the film's unsettling nature. The film editing, at times, keeps the suspense alive, although it occasionally falters in pacing. The film's strength lies in its dedication to delving deep into Turkish supernatural folklore, offering a persistent sense of foreboding. The music contributes to the film's overall eerie atmosphere, while the cinematography captures the creeping darkness within ordinary settings. "Siccin 5" builds upon the established themes of the series, emphasizing the notion that meddling with the paranormal comes at a high cost. While it may have its flaws, it remains a captivating addition to the "Siccin" franchise, perfect for those who relish spine-tingling supernatural tales.

Arriving at a remote village, a family begins undergoing a series of bizarre hallucinations and visions that hint at something supernatural happening to them the longer they stay there, and when they find the area tied up with bizarre supernatural visions must find the truth behind them.
This was a generally solid if somewhat underwhelming entry. One of the main features to be had with the film is the series' usually high standard when it comes to the inclusion of strong supernatural encounters. The idea featured here remains pretty much the same as most others in the series where it focuses quite heavily on the idea of deformed beings appearing out of nowhere with unnatural features to yell or scream at someone when they're not expecting it which is a fine touch with how it's approached here. With this one going for the supernatural entity performing a set action as if on routine only for the figure to disappear in the aftermath of a dream sequence, this is a fairly common occurrence to the point of providing the groundwork necessary to give this a solid grounding for the finale where the use of black magic and occult rituals that have been commonplace in the series come about to explain everything. In the end, these give this likable factors although, outside of this, there's not much to the film overall. The main issue here is a seemingly flimsy and ill-structured storyline that takes a fairly random series of scenes together but never really connects them. With the setup done by design as the reasoning comes about at the very end, regardless of how good that comes off and does a solid job of explaining everything it still makes the film come off like a randomized selection of sequences featuring a terrifying supernatural being. Very few of these scenes come off as anything different from dreams or hallucinations, so the tactic wears out its welcome the longer it goes on with everything coming off as another variation of the same thing. This lets the film meander around in uninteresting and somewhat repetitive storylines surrounding these encounters which does make the film interesting if somewhat uninvolved for the most part.
Rated Unrated/R: Violence and Language.

Plot
Hale attracted attention with its different appearance and strange behavior. She lives in a historical and eerily house in Nevsehir with her mother, a depressed grandmother and her aunt Azra. Hale's father had disappeared before she was born and was never seen again.
Cast
Creator Alper Mestçi returns to provide us yet another mess
Verdict
Okay so I messed up, in an attempt to fill out my top 10 Turkish movies list I needed to add some titles and I came across Siccin (2014) but being the completionist that I am I just absolutely positively emphatically HAD to watch all of them and oh boy that was a mistake.
You see you know what the Siccin films have in common?
Everything, literally everything. They're independent separate non-connected stories and yet somehow, someway and still the same in every conceivable way both plot wise and the dreadful acting.
Siccin 5 is another remix of the last 4 movies, no originality, makes absolutely no sense, heavy religious tones and more foolishness than you can wave Muslim prayer cap at.
Don't watch this, don't watch any of them, just don't do it to yourself.
Rants
Me and Turkish cinema clearly don't get along, at the time of writing my Turkish Top 10 movie list is made up of a 4, four 3's, and five 2's! Yikes. Should I watch more Turkish films to try and counter that or will I only prove further that Turkish cinema is most certainly not a delight!?
The Good
Some of the effects aren't awful
The Bad
Dreadful acting Ridiculously bad score Nonsensical plot Just a rehash of the previous movies.

Every next part is getting worse and more boring. The first part was something innovative and fun, I also liked the others ... Everyone else is in the same mold, without any idea or meaning. Pure forcing
Most people would argue that Turkish Horror is depending far too much on local and national values that is restricted with conservative point of view. Thus, would appear silly and goofy to any who is not familiar with the notions. However when done correctly (and densely I might say) it is surely effective.
And with Alper Mestçi it is mostly the case. He has shown promise with his first film "Musallat" and he is getting better and better with each movie. Siccin 5 is a movie that is lacking on character build. The motivations are blurry or almost non-sensical, however the machinations of the jump scares, the moody atmosphere certainly makes up for this.
The little girl, dream sequences, scary faces popping out left and right might feel like all of this is only done for the sake of horror and not telling a completely coherent story. That is my only beef with this flick. As I have said this is a director always going on the right path, improving himself. But still there is room for improvement on the story telling part. The characters does not appear real, their interactions with the real world is not there. You cannot see the distinction of what is happening on the screen and what is happening in their daily life. So you cannot entirely emphasize the dread they are feeling, you cannot put yourself in their shoes.
As I've said give it a chance, at the very least you will find it different and intriguing.
The fifth part was like others , sane scary moments, same stories, it was the worst horror movie I've ever seen, other parts weren't that bad but this was terrible. Also it was a classic horror movie

This movie was absolutely amazing, I went to see it with my friend, and it scared the living hell out of me. I think the scariest part of the movie was the final scene, I can't get that image out of my head. Don't know why but it was just so scary. Siccin is the best horror series in Turkey.

I watched Siccin 5 and my spine is froze. The final 10 minutes are among the most atmospheric and scary 10 minutes in any film, culminating in a montage that is absolutely chilling.

I don't know what other people's opinion on this movie, but I feel that this movie have shown the extent of what a BLACK MAGIC & DARK SPELL can do to turn a gentle human into a devilish act.
