Each country artist gets a one-liner in an envelope from the producers of the show. They then have one week to write a song including that one-liner. They then record the song and perform it for a live audience.

Each country artist gets a one-liner in an envelope from the producers of the show. They then have one week to write a song including that one-liner. We then help them record the song in a studio and have a concert involving a charity where they perform the song for an audience. Two artists per state are chosen before moving on to another state to do it again.—David Von Roehm
