I think at first the show was starting to take off too early and was only a series of short films practically. Now it's a genuine continuation like many soap operas. The show is a great portrayal of modern lives and families in a suburban seat coast town. Personally the show is at its peak from season 12 onwards. It's currently on great anticipation with certain characters and their dramas that it leaves you wanting more as each episode ends. I think it's great for a free series on YouTube and I urge everybody to see this. I wish more episodes have a longer duration in length i.e 30 minutes or something.

A great portrayal of gritty drama set in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Focuses on complex characters with their problems based on love, hate, sex, drugs, alcohol, death and life. Steven Farrell delivers a fantastic cast in this low budget youtube series that could be compared to Coronation Street, Eastenders or Emmerdale Farm. A nice soap opera that we didn't ask for yet didn't expect at the same time. A wide variety of interesting episodes that take place in Gorleston, Birmingham and Gt Yarmouth. I didn't want to switch it off. Thought it was brilliant from start to finish and I hope there's more episodes to come with this one.

I love Our Town! I first found it when I was visiting the UK and fell in love with the country and this amazing slice of life in Great Yarmouth.
The acting is unbelievable, and the characters are so lovable and complex, I'm hooked for life. I especially love Karen and her family, and Mick and his brood are amazing as well. I laughed and loved every minute of the Liam and Stacey chemistry, and I can't imagine how it can be rekindled, but wish it would! I'm so happy to see Rocky's complete metamorphous, and reinvention, and I have hopes for Karen to become softened and more likable as time goes on. I have to say I'm glad Troy is gone. He was just so harsh and pretty much a bad person. I love that most every character has a good heart deep down.
So whatever happens next, I'm up for the ride with all the great people of Norfolk. Love them all!!!!

How much drama and tragic circumstances. Our Town, created by Steven Ferrell on youtube, has helped me through my own issues. It is so relatable and realistic with their deep and meaningful characters like Liam, Bailey, Karen and Dale. Those are just a handful of the many people featured in this long-running show. It was like looking at myself from the outside. To react to the same situation from a different perspective on multiple occasions episode-by-episode. 'Our Town' helped me overcome, open up and understand so much about the rise and fall of life, I couldn't believe but am forever grateful for.

I don't see how anyone can give this show low ratings. Even if it is not your cup of tea, you have to give credit to the fact it has no production company backing or funding, yet it has been going for so many years and churning out quality episodes with relatable storylines. Nothing but respect for all involved for keeping this going. So many projects don't see the light if day due to no funding, our town has never been held back by that.
I have been watching this since the pandemic and have not missed an episode since. I have also gone back to the early stuff to catch certain back stories. The whole little our town universe is so intriguing with so many complex characters who you end up feeling are a part of your life, like people we know. It is so relatable and in the characters I feel like I've met real people like that.
The show tends to bring so much emotion out, it's a perfect blend of drama, gritty, romance and funny moments. I love the nostalgic moments too as there are so many throw back moments to it's past. So great too that still some originals in it such as Karen, Toby and Dave. Please keep this show going, it's like wine and just keeps getting better with age.
