Not perfect by any means, but I enjoyed it. The camerawork had its moments, the acting was good. It's a movie that really gets you on the edge of your seat and makes you empathize with and root for (some of) the characters. I will say that the ending was a bit of a bummer - as someone else has said, left an open wound. Still, I would recommend this one.

Saw this at the Imagine filmfestival, usually in Amsterdam but now 100% online. Indeed, a tense chase throughout the running time with no weak moments. However, we saw such chases in many other movies. The sole purpose of this one is to show the lowly position of women in that country, being the possession of men who can do whatever they want when she crosses the line. It is something we already knew, though an intense showcase like we see here serves very well to revive that notion. The social commentary is thus the core of the story. The finale leaves all involved empty handed, everyone looses.
Turkish movie important in the denunciation of honor crimes still cruelly perpetrated against women, in a country that is candidate to enter the European Union, practically unpunished. It is commonly accepted in this patriarchal society.
I recognize the relevance of the issue, but in my opinion is a only reasonable movie, nothing innovative. I have seen this theme dealt with much more strength in the seventh art.
Don't make history, but it does contribute to change the present in Turkey.
I recommend it only for its relevance.
This is an excellent film tackling an important subject while at the same time a tense thriller throughout. Well acted and directed and beautifully shot. No easy routes taken in this anywhere. Highly recommended.

Violence against women is a huge problem in Turkey. The existence of honor killings in which a women is killed when she does something dishonorable (mostly adultery) leads to women being killed by their own families.
However this movie takes these facts and twists them in a way to make an "action" film with an orientalist view catered to outsider perception of Turkey then what actually happens in the country.
The film takes places in Antalya a liberal coastal city visited by millions of tourists. In reality the vast majority of honor killings happen in Turkeys conservative rural south East. This is like having the movie Deliverance take place in San Francisco.

Good Survival/Thriller
I hope we'll see more independent films like this in Turkish Cinema.
Acting is quite good, cinematography pretty good.
Story line just plain dumb, in a culture that is gonna be allowed to kill a woman for this, the women wear full coverings. You got these guys lookin to kill her for you know what, using the F word
Actors are largely caucasian, instead of mid eastern
There is really no real explanation as to who is chasing her, a cop car gets stolen, and no cops chase after it at any point
--anyway, the acting was good across the board, camera work was good --Script is stupid, there is no actual law against pre marital sex in turkey, so we need more in the front end of the movie.

Stupid..boring.....and no end at all....waste of time as always typical turkish movie................
acting was ok, but what it helps on such a lame boring story.....and a end that isn't any at all....

People in Turkey actually think like this? What a backwards society.
That aside, it's a pretty good action flick. Good scenery.
The lead actress needs to shave her armpits, but otherwise she did a good job.

Without shadow of a doubt, this was my favourite film of the online Frightfest.
Some gripping performances and edge of the seat moments, made even more scary that for some women this is their reality. If you are considering watching this film, don't hesitate. Definitely worth a watch.

This movie is what cinema is for. Don't skip it because is Turkish; it is as Western as any Western independent films. It is obvious they didn't spend tens or hundreds of millions with it, but they made it not look like a cheap film and, benefitting also from the amazing scenery, came up with a movie that delivers perfectly.
If i have to find something bad, i would say the ending isn't as amazing as the rest of the film, but it's still good (and logical). All in all, the film is tense, scary, outrageous (because of the honor killings and of the medieval attitude of men against women) and makes you feel for the main character.
This is what you are after when wanting to see a film.

Considering certain things that happen around the world right now (even in America with Roe v. Wade and what that means for women and their not right to choose over their own bodies), it could be called good timing - me watching or finding this movie on Netflix.
It's a mans world - a pun that works (intended or not) - unfortunately I might add. And while Türkiye (formerly known as Turkey) has big cities where civilization seems to have moved on, there are still certain things that are quite backwards. Like honor killings - they are not allowed, as in there is no law that allows them, but those who want to commit them have their tricks (one of them is being revealed by the main female character in this to a young boy).
Adultery is a sin - that is what most countries agree on. What still is being done most of the times - the women are the ones who seem to be taking all the heat/responsibility. Which is quite crazy to say the least.
There also seems no way out - but when there is a will to survive ... the body seems to be able to go way beyond anything that one would assume humanly possible.
Well shot, with good effects, this is quite the hunt ... to say the least ... if you can endure it (no pun intended)
