We all like to go back home to eat our grand mother soup. They have a winning recipe that makes us feel good without questions. If the template/model/recipe is being use over and over throughout time for various traditions, why cinema and/or tivi couldn't do the same?
Coisa Mais Linda doesn't have the pretention to reinvent a genre, as @giliarde_berges seems to focus on. I mean no disrespect but I don't think this is the intention: "love Brazil, I love Bossa Nova, and Rio's beauty is breath taking". Of course we can all agree on that. That's only the container in which the story is being grown.
The strength of the character Malu, vividly fighting for her independance and the respect she deserve as a woman is, I think the real deal about this show.
The everlasting social class war, the secret life everyone has, the Belief to avoid raising our childrens as we were raised... that's some of those character's struggle.
Do I have to say It should be watch in original language...
